Reps from the Omagh and Fermanagh Health branch and Foyle branch met with the WHSCT Chief Executive today , Karen Hargen and Asst Director Joanne Quinn to hand over a petition with hundreds of staff signatures in protest against the unacceptable price increases in Trust Restaurant and Coffee shop facilities.

Prices have increased by 22.5% since 2023, staff wages definitely have not , in fact we are still waiting our 26/27 payrise!
Staff were told that as of the 1st July 2026 Prices were to rise by a 5% inflationary increase but staff believe that most items gone up by a lot more than this and are very angry!

We also stated that the provision of hot meals in the evenings in the SWAH needed to be reinstated and there needed to be more vending machines in the omagh sites because of no provision of meals in evenings and weekends for both staff and relatives.

Our support staff newsletter was also presented with a list of issues and concerns that need to be addressed.
