Week 2 of the Families Connect programme for Hive Cancer Support 🐝

A huge thank you to the Healing Hearts service Foyle Hospice for joining us and sharing information about the support available to families, answering questions, and facilitating an open and supportive discussion with the adults attending. ❤️

Thank you to all the parents and carers for their open, honest, and meaningful discussions throughout the session. 🫶

Meanwhile, our young people got creative with arts and crafts, making their own calm boxes and filling them with their beautiful Trees of Strength as a reminder of the people, qualities, and supports that help them through difficult times. 🌳🌻🎨

A brilliant event wrapped up today 👏

Huge well done to all the young people for their honesty, courage, and for completing our Break the Cycle – Informed & Empowered Youth programme 💬

Today covered so much — from safeguarding awareness and child exploitation, to understanding control, community pressures, and ending violence against women and girls. We finished with a powerful workshop on youth voice, power, and community safety alongside the PSNI

The discussions were honest, thoughtful, and incredibly impactful 💭

A big thank you as well to Harley Dene for his brilliant support throughout the delivery of this programme — we’d genuinely be lost without him 🙌
