Hi guys😊 Welcome to Spinal Cord Stimulator Diaries.
My name is Natalie and I've just recently had a Stimulator Implant for Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS/RSD).
(Sept 2015).
I started a diary from the the first day after my op.
I was surprised at the response I had and how many other crps sufferers/families/friends were interested.
Some people had an implant,some were having a trial and others were contemplating whether to have it done or not.
So many people all over the world.
It got me thinking that perhaps it would be helpful for other post op (permanent or trial ) to share their stories or diaries, and therefore help each other.
Not everyone has had a successful implant, so I think it's important that everyone is aware of the good,bad & ugly of this procedure.
There are so many questions we all have and although the professionals can 'tell' us some answers, they themselves have not had 1st hand experience!
Simple questions like..'what can I do straight after the op?'
How long do I have to wait to shower?
I'm in so much pain,is this normal?
What really happens during a trial?

Hopefully by sharing our stories we can help each other and bring sufferers world wide together.
