Why Strength & SIT is a core pillar of my new program structures. ⚙️

When designing the newly updated Group PT sessions, my goal was to build a framework that perfectly aligns with female physiology, supports long-term health, and delivers real performance.

That is exactly where the combination of Strength & SIT (Sprint Interval Training) comes in.

Here is what this hybrid approach delivers for your body:

💪The Strength: We focus on lifting heavy weights to build lean muscle mass, improve joint resilience, and support bone density. It’s about building a powerful foundation that keeps you strong and capable. 🏋️‍♀️

⏳The SIT: These are short, maximal bursts of effort on equipment like the bike, rower, or skierg. It’s an incredibly efficient way to supercharge your cardiovascular fitness and improve metabolic health without requiring hours of training.

Why You Need to Lift Heavy 🏋️‍♀️

After the age of 30, women lose up to 8% of their muscle mass every decade—and that rate accelerates fast during peri-menopause.

This isn’t about “toning.” Muscle is your metabolic engine. When you lose it, your metabolism slows down, energy drops, and that frustrating mid-section weight shift happens. On top of that, dropping estrogen takes a direct hit on your bone density.

Tiny pink dumbbells and endless cardio circuits won’t stop this.

Hard work isn’t the problem. Empty fatigue is. 🛑

I’ll be the first to admit it: I love a high-intensity, sweaty session. There is nothing like the feeling of pushing your limits in a Hyrox or a long run. 🏃‍♀️

But I also know that if you’re in your 40s and you’re chasing that “crushed” feeling every day—without the right physiological foundations—you are redlining your engine.

When we work hard on an empty tank or without structural insurance (like heavy lifting), our brain perceives a “Famine Signal.”

The result?

Your cycle vanishes or becomes irregular.

Your 3 PM energy is non-existent.

You stop getting stronger, even though you’re working harder than ever.

I am a Hormone Hybrid. I still do the hard work. I still get the sweat sessions in. But I do it with a Strategic Plan:

1. I Fuel the Work: No more fasted “grind.” I give my body the “Safe Signal” it needs to burn energy, not store it.

2. I Lift for Power: I use heavy weights to protect my bone density and muscle mass as hormones fluctuate.
