When can I start exercise again after having a baby? Honestly? Straight away.

Movement helps your body to clear the excess fluid floating around your body in those early postnatal days. But be gentle with yourself. Pelvic floor exercises and short walks outside for you and your baby is so good for you both.
We are talking mindful movement. Mindful of the type of delivery you had. Mindful of any stitches you've had. Mindful that, even though women have been doing this forever, looking after ourselves and our new borns in those first few weeks is top priority.

So focus on good nutrition to help your tissue repair and to give yourself nourishment for those long nights, mastering breast feeding and cluster feeds.
Focus on sleepy baby snuggles
Focus on getting to know your new little person 🤱

And little by little you will feel ready to do more, but for now, pelvic floor exercises and short walks are plenty.

Not all workouts have dumbells, reps and stop watches. Some workouts look like this! This weekend my workouts have consisted of riddling soil and walking back and fore filling the new vegetable beds in the garden 😅 Definitely hit my step count this weekend.

This is also what training is about, being strong so your body can cope with all the tasks you throw at it. Are you ready to get strong 💪 head to my YouTube to start your journey https://youtube.com/?si=rw_zBFbZpUiwxkQ1

If you have recently had your baby, you may now be feeling ready to start focusing some time on your recovery journey. Maybe you're a little overwhelmed with where to start. This little workout is a good starting point, where we look to reconnect with those deep core muscles. As always, it's important to give yourself time to recover after having your baby, but this short session focuses on your breath work and pelvic floor, alongside deep core activation exercises, so it is nice and gentle to get you started. Just take it at your own pace.

So this is it! My YouTube channel is live 🤩
Because being active is not about how we look, but about keeping up. It's about being a role model for our little people. It's about looking after ourselves as best we can.
Working out is great for our mental health which helps us to be calmer parents.
There are so many benefits, and I want to be there to support your journey.

So this is it! I am launching my own YouTube Channel! 🫣 Here is a little info about what to expect.
I have done a lot of procrastinating whilst building this channel. It is so far out of my comfort zone, but I feel like it is an area where more support is needed for new mums and mums to be, that I just had to put that fear to one side and take the challenge head on. So here goes!

These workouts are great for anyone to do, but my focus is on supporting pregnant and post-natal women in their journeys, and with your help and input, I will add workouts and advise on things you want or need help with most.

I am just putting the final touches to the channel ready for it to go live on Friday, I will share the link to the channel with you then!

For the past few months, I have been working on building a resource which is aimed at supporting women to continue exercise throughout pregnancy and to assist with recovery post birth.
Being active throughout pregnancy has so many benefits for mother and baby, but unfortunately there is still not enough support out there to help Mums to feel confident in continuing with exercise for the duration of their pregnancies.
Of course there are pregnancies where being active needs to be reduced, but support for women in all cases is very much needed, and my hope is to build this platform for women to feel supported, working alongside midwives and other healthcare providers.
This resource however is not just for pregnant/post-natal women, anyone can join along, and use this resource to support their own fitness journey.
