🌿☀️ Today at Acorn we made the decision to head to the cool, shaded surroundings of Dalby Forest to enjoy the beautiful weather safely during the high temperatures.
Being outdoors has so many positive benefits for wellbeing - from reducing stress and anxiety to improving mood, confidence, communication, and overall mental health. Spending time in nature encourages movement, social interaction, sensory experiences, and mindfulness, all while giving everyone the chance to slow down, relax, and enjoy the world around them. 🌳
With the hot weather, our focus today was making sure everyone stayed safe, cool, and hydrated. We enjoyed shaded woodland walks, regular rest breaks, plenty of water and cool picnic spots under the trees.
Nature-based activities like today remind us that wellbeing is not just about staying active - it’s also about feeling calm, connected, and supported in the environment around us. 🌿
