How do you determine the best treatment plan ?

Clinical reasoning ✅
The correct subjective questioning techniques ✅
Relevant objective testing ✅

Clinical reasoning is a huge vital part of my work as a well qualified and experienced therapist .

If you can’t clinically reason why you have applied a technique then legally you don’t stand a chance .

Treatments should not just be plucked out of the air and fingers crossed it works .

Through clinical reasoning and critical thinking the therapist takes into consideration;

Their own remit - allowing time to refer on and remain Professional if the presentation is above their qualification ✅

The person as a whole front of them - acknowledging the BPS ( Bio psych social model )
I’m really really not a fan of the word holistic for many many reasons . So I use the term bio psych social model . ✅

If your subjective questioning is effective it is said that you will get up to 75% of your final outcome / hypothesis just solely from your initial questioning .
Questioning is key !

Objective testing is what confirms your initial thoughts or what completely changes things around in some cases :
Special tests
Strength testing
Range of motion testing
Reflex testing
RI
MET
PIR
The list of objective tests go on …..

Making sure the client feels empowered after the treatment is also key .
When a client is educated it triggers the start of a journey for both client and therapist based on trust and respect.

What a weekend it has been treating at the Uk racketball tournament in London .

Only a few rolled ankles and a thumb injury to tape up and deal with 😅.
Other than that it was lots of pre and post game soft tissue therapy .

Connections made - effective treatment given.

Excited to be treating at this wonderful event .
The Uk racketball international team championships on 5th and 6th September.

I’m looking forward to treating high standard players for pre and post event ,
It’s an honour.

My client is officially in the England team ( #1 ) so we are all going to have a great weekend .

I see this as another personal achievement ☺️☺️.
Hard work and doing a good job every time always gets you recognised in some way ,

And you know me I’m a worker through and through .
