Today we gathered at Co-Here, the old Baptist Church in Dumfries, for our Monthly Half Day Retreat. Full house. Every single space sold out.
The lovely Susie Gale from Stagwood Pilates opened the day with gentle movement, delivered with care and expert guidance.
Then brunch. Toasted bagels with avocado, smoked salmon, crème fraîche and dill. A side salad of mixed leaves, figs, goat's cheese, toasted walnuts and honey. A seasonal smoothie of beetroot, bramble, oat milk, banana, chia seeds and honey, the beetroot from my own garden and the brambles picked on a hike in the Lake District last week.
Carol Rogerson from Alton Alchemy closed the day with a sound bath, and if you have never lain down under the wash of sound from a singing bowl with nowhere to be, I genuinely do not know how to describe it to you except to say your nervous system knows the difference even if your mind is still catching up.
Days like today are exactly why I built Tribe Fortune. Not to fix anyone. Just to give people somewhere to come as they are, be properly looked after, and leave a little more like themselves than when they arrived.
Both Susie and Carol will be joining us at Vivacity Wellness Festival on 17th October at The Crichton. Early bird tickets end at midnight tonight, so if you have been sitting on the fence, tonight is the night.
And if today's photos are making you wish you had been here, our October Half Day Retreat is open for booking now. Come and find out what a few hours can do.
