WEIGH-IN DAY… and the countdown is officially ON. 👀

As you know, I’ve been on a mission to lose the 10lb I gained around my retirement celebrations, with my holiday in Kos as the target.

Well… there are now just 11 days to go.

This week has made me have a bit of a rethink, and I explain exactly where I’m at in the video.

Am I where I thought I’d be by now?
What’s the plan for these final 11 days?
And just how much can I achieve before I get on that plane?

You’ll have to watch to find out. 😉

I’m still very much a woman on a mission.

11 days. Countdown firmly on. Watch this space.

BE CAREFUL WHERE YOU BUY WEIGHT-LOSS MEDICATION

There’s a worrying side to the growth in medicated weight loss that we need to talk about.

I’m increasingly hearing about people buying injections and so-called “research peptides” through social media, private groups, gyms and unofficial sellers.

One name you may have heard is “Reta” or retatrutide.

Retatrutide is currently being studied as a potential weight-loss medication.

But here’s the important part:

It is not currently authorised as a medicine in the UK.

That means you cannot legitimately obtain retatrutide for weight loss from a UK-registered pharmacy.

If you buy a vial online labelled “retatrutide” from an unofficial source, you cannot reliably know:

• what is actually in it
• whether the dose is accurate
• whether it has been manufactured or stored safely
• whether it is sterile
• or what else it may contain

And this isn’t simply a theoretical concern.

The UK medicines regulator has already seized thousands of doses of illegally supplied weight-loss medicines and unlicensed peptides.

There is nothing wrong with considering medicated weight loss.

But where your medication comes from matters enormously.

Prescription weight-loss medication should come through an appropriate prescriber and a registered pharmacy NOT through a WhatsApp contact, Telegram group, gym acquaintance or unofficial online seller.

Weight loss matters. Your safety matters more.

If you are considering medicated weight loss, make sure you know exactly what you are taking, who prescribed it and where it came from.

Apparently fruit is bad for us now.

Why?

“Because it’s full of sugar.”

Time to put that one on trial.

The verdict?

Not guilty.

Yes, fruit contains naturally occurring sugars.

But describing fruit as “just sugar” ignores practically everything else that comes with it.

Whole fruit also provides:

• Fibre
• Vitamins and minerals
• Water
• Plant compounds
• Volume that helps make food satisfying

And that fibre matters.

The sugar in a whole orange comes packaged inside the structure of the fruit. That’s quite different from drinking its juice, where much of that structure has been broken down and it’s very easy to consume several oranges’ worth in a few gulps.

That’s one reason UK guidance distinguishes between whole fruit and fruit juice/smoothies, with juice and smoothies limited to a combined 150ml a day.

Does that mean you can eat unlimited fruit and calories somehow stop counting?

Of course not.

But avoiding an apple because you’re frightened of its sugar while happily eating highly processed “diet” snacks makes very little nutritional sense.

The verdict

MYTH: Fruit is basically sugar, so you should avoid it when losing weight.

VERDICT: FALSE.

Whole fruit can absolutely form part of a healthy weight-loss diet.

I’d love to know…

What’s the fruit that is always in your house?

Mine would be blueberries (I’ve always got some in my freezer)

Lynn’s Little Win

Fancy something sweet this week?

Try a piece of whole fruit first.

Not because fruit is “free”.

Because nutrition matters as well as calories.

Need help turning these facts into real-life results?

I’d love to help.

If you could change ONE thing about how you feel by Christmas, what would it be?

More energy?
More confidence?
Fitter?
Healthier?
Happier in your clothes?
Something completely different?

Finish the sentence:

“By Christmas I’d love to feel ______.”
