We’re still buzzing after an amazing Volunteers’ Week 🌟💙

We had such a great time celebrating and, most importantly, thanking our incredible volunteers for their time, dedication, and the difference they make every day.

Last Thursday, we attended the Volunteer Celebration Event organised by Dundee Volunteer and Voluntary Action at Just Bee Productions, where we had the opportunity to deliver a short presentation to recognise and thank our volunteers 👏

It was also inspiring to hear about so many other fantastic volunteers making an impact across Dundee.

To top it all off, DVVA kindly presented us with a framed certificate, recognising TCA’s commitment to volunteering in Dundee, something we’re really proud of 💫

Alcohol Focus Scotland 's campaign encourages people to think differently when buying gifts for people 🎁

Our Angus Kith&Kin service have partnered up with Big Breath Little Breath Mindfulness For Kids to host a block of 6 sessions focused on mindfulness and regulation for children living in Kinship Care within Angus ☁️

We are now open for referrals!! 🙂
There are limited spaces available, to ensure we can provide a calm and nurturing space for attendees - so this will be on a first come first serve basis. Please get in touch if you are interested and would like a referral form. Completed referrals must be returned by Friday 3rd July to secure your space 💜

That’s a wrap on Volunteers’ Week 2026 🌟

As we come to the end of Volunteers’ Week, we want to take a moment to say a huge thank you to all of our incredible volunteers 💙

This week, we’ve been celebrating the amazing impact you make every single day by sharing your stories, hearing about your experiences, and shining a spotlight on everything you do for TCA and our communities across Tayside.

We’ve loved handing out a small token of our appreciation with some cupcakes 🧁 (if you haven’t received yours yet, don’t worry, we’ve still got a few more to give out!)

We were also proud to attend the Volunteer Celebration & Recruitment Event hosted by Dundee Volunteer and Voluntary Action, where we had the chance to present and say thank you to our volunteers alongside others from across Dundee 👏

Most importantly, this week has been about recognising you. Your time, your dedication, and your compassion make such a difference, and we simply couldn’t do what we do without you.

We hope that by sharing your stories, we can inspire others to take that first step into volunteering too 💫

Thank you for everything you do. We appreciate you today and every day.

💡📆 What's on this week?

Last week our women's mentoring group had an outing to Balnuith Alpacas! This was a brilliant day out where the group got to meet and feed a lot of different animals along with walking Alpacas!

Thank you for giving us a tour of your farm and for being so accommodating for our group!🥰

Our youth mentoring group, Boost, have been busy working on a project (stay tuned to find out more👀)

As part of this project, the group designed a football top and this was brought to life thanks to Greg Robertson. He managed to take the groups creations and transform them into online football tops.

The next stage of this project, was to have these printed. Unfortunately, having the football tops designed would be a long process, but with the support from Direct Soccer we managed to come to a solution.

The group were able to tie-dye their own t-shirts and we then took these to Direct Soccer to have our logos printed on them.

Massive thank you to both parties for helping us create these amazing t-shirts that we will get to showcase at our upcoming event!🤩
