Meet me at the beach 🔥 🐝
I’ve been working with jewellery and teaching for over 15 years, and since 2009 I’ve been lucky enough to take my workshops all over Scotland.
But there’s something really special about making something with your own hands - especially when you’re somewhere completely different from your usual surroundings.
So on 6th September, I’m bringing together two things I love: jewellery making and Bee’s Sauna.
We’ll start by melting away the week in the sauna at Broughty Ferry Beach, before gathering around the fire pit for a hands-on jewellery workshop.
I’ll show you how to work with jewellers’ wax and professional carving tools, then you’ll create your own silver amulet - either designing something completely personal to you or taking inspiration from some of my own designs.
You don’t need any previous jewellery-making experience. I’ll guide you through the process, and there’s something really lovely about watching a little piece of wax slowly become your design.
Once we’re finished, your piece will be sent away to be cast in silver using the ancient lost-wax casting technique. I’ll then hand-finish it for you, before it makes its way back to you with an 18” silver chain, ready to wear.
So this isn’t just a jewellery workshop.
It’s an afternoon by the sea.
Time in the sauna.
Something creative around the fire.
Good conversation.
And a piece of jewellery that you’ll have made yourself.
