Reflections on The Infusion Atelier: A perfumery-inspired herbal tea design experience.

What a wonderful sensory session! I am feeling incredibly grateful for such a lovely group, familiar faces and new ones (including someone who traveled all the way from Aberdeen!)

We explored many medicinal plants through taste and smell, and participants left with their carefully and thoughtfully crafted herbal infusions following perfumery principles. I’ve had a lot of interest and great feedback, which I'm so grateful for.

🌿 Next workshop
I'm planning a smaller, more intimate version (max 8-9 people) to keep it cozy and comfortable. It will also allow me to offer more personal guidance during the crafting part.

I already have a waiting list forming (exciting!). Let me know if you want to be added and be the first to know when bookings open!

I’ve been dreaming of this for a long time and it’s finally here. Join me at the historic Abbot House—a place rooted in herbal history—for an immersive journey into the art of herbal infusion blending. 🌿💎

We aren’t just making herbal teas; we’re composing it. Borrowing from the worlds of perfumery and oenology, we’ll explore:
🧪 The Fundamentals: Harvesting and drying medicinal plants.
👃 Olfactory Art: Mastering the ‘Note de Tête’ (head notes) to create a sensory narrative.
👅 The Palate: Blind tastings to identify subtle aromatic families, just like a sommelier.
✍️ Your Bespoke Blend: Designing a signature infusion to take home, guided by your intuition and perfumery principles.
