Have a nice day! How you start your day sets the tone to how it will continue. Early exposure to the morning sun activates your cells, and resets your body clock to have an energised positive morning. If you, like me woke up way too early, why don't we try to catch that sunrise. Enjoy the life's little things before you get pulled into the daily chores and to do lists.

So I'm happy to report, my job here is done! I have absolutely enjoyed the whole experience, even though I really suffered through that last mile. It looks like I might have to live downstairs for a few days now, but boy was it worth it.
I have managed to hit my fundraising goal yesterday too, so I'm not gonna pester anyone anymore, but if you do feel like Tommy's Charity is close to your heart, and would like to help them support more pregnancies and babies that don't have such a lucky starting position in their life, please feel free to still donate, I will drop my link below again. We have time until May to give them a bit of a boost.
To be honest, I have cried through my first couple of miles, as the power of those names and photos on the backs of people's tops were pretty overwhelming. This whole event was so strongly charity based, that the majority of the runners ran in memory of someone they've lost, or in support of someone going through those hardships.
I feel like looking up quite a few of the charities involved, as they are all dealing with the real people's life experiences, and we all probably know someone that would love the helping hand of someone who knows.
A huge thank you to all of you who have supported me through this, whether it was donations to Tommy's, kind words of support or occasional check-ins, offers of help with the family logistics, or even a few likes and shares. I really wouldn't have done it without you.
I am sitting here this was so hard, while pre-registering for the next year 🙈.

So it's a wrap! Last couple of training runs with my little assistant yesterday, the weather was glorious, some of my race gear was too tight, some too loose and some of it totally untested. There is so much more to this than the running itself. My control freak brain is already going into the overdrive over all the details I should be planning, that might be the difference between a run master or a disaster 🙈. If you would still like to support me before the big day on Sunday, I'm gratefully attaching my JustGiving link below. Every penny makes me feel that much more motivated and determined to keep running and making a big difference not only to those tiny babies, but their whole families.
Lots of love and gratitude from Mami & Timi Team!

Back to my half marathon topic! You've been asking how much is it, and how can you support me.
I will share my Just Giving link in the comments again, but it could be as simple as leaving a couple of £ the next time you're in for your treatment. I've still got £120 to go, so I'll be donating all of my tips for April and May.
Also, if you feel like checking it out with your own eyes, it seems to be an amazing day out! Lots of singing, dancing, performances and emotions at their highest, so even joining in the crowds to add to the beautiful positively charged atmosphere would make it a day to remember.
2 more weeks to go, it has come round faster then I ever thought 🤔

The yellow envelope has arrived! We are literally on a countdown, and I'm a bit stressed out with the chest infection lingering. I have committed to this last minute and started training really late, but boy has it been worth it!
What this challenge has given me so far is incredible. I have learned to enjoy the night runs in the cold and rain, I have learned to prep food and snacks at night, so we have it that little bit easier in the morning, I have learned to let go of an expectation of a clean and tidy house, and I got used to doing a few minutes here and there.
I have started to pay more attention to my sleep and nutrition more, respect my recommendation for recovery times, and I actually got a lot more curious having to plan my training routes a bit.
Of course I have run hungry and tired at times, of course I have overbooked my kids holiday camps, and even brought my daughter to her ballet practice in her school uniform.
But does it matter? Not really. We all mess up at times, and we all need to forgive ourselves when it doesn't really matter.
What does matter, is to reconnect with nature, live and grow with the seasons, experience the weather on my own skin, watch the days grow longer, observe the raindrops in the street lights, and have my girls used to mummy going for a run.
We somehow made it normal. This organised chaos became the new normal, and we all know it needs to be done, and no apologies are needed.
When the girls run with me, I see the sparks in their eyes, we share the joy of movement and speed, and we talk about our bodies, how it's our duty to nourish them and strengthen them, how we are part of this world which is just waiting to give us all that we need to thrive.
Last two weeks before the race, I'm itching to get out there and finish this off with a bang (or a big cough at the moment).
The last few weeks to raise the much needed funds for Tommy's Charity, so please consider chipping in, every penny will make a big difference, and in return Tommy's will help more families to have a chance at building their lives of joy, strength, patience and compassion.
Sports and nature are the best teachers for us all, and I'm grateful I'm fin
