**Hennessy Living Group - Exploring Beautiful Durham Botanical Gardens with Willow Lodge**

Here at Hennessy Living Group, our Young People over at Willow Lodge have been taking in the breath-taking beauty of Durham University Botanical Gardens. Our dedicated staff love supporting our young people to explore their local community, experiencing new environments, and learning about the world around them.

They explored the gardens, took in the stunning scenery, and learned about different flowers and the wildlife that depends on them. One of our young people showed great enthusiasm, excitedly naming the bugs and creatures he spotted, and hoping to find a butterfly amongst the flowers 🦋

The adventure continued as they discovered fascinating fish and were amazed by the giant lily pads. With the warm weather, the day was topped off perfectly with a fun splash in the water fountain to cool down!

It was a wonderful experience that sparked curiosity, learning and joy, leaving our young people with new knowledge about wildlife and their habitats. 💚

**Hennessy Living Group - Physical Activities with Rose Lodge**

Here at Hennessy Living Group our dedicated staff look to ensure we provide age-appropriate fun activities for all of our Young People. Over at Rose Lodge one of our young people enjoys their trips to the park. This promotes his physical development, as well as his independence. He has become more confident running around and climbing on the obstacles. He enjoys being chased around the park and likes to feel the wind in his hair. It's wonderful to see that he really enjoys playing outside.

**Hennessy Living Group - Animal Therapy with Rose Lodge**

Here at Hennessy Living Group, our Young People have the choice to spend time with animals. Over at Rose Lodge, our staff provided time for our children to experience the calming and therapeutic experience at their local Pony Club and nearby farm. From walking dogs, petting the horses and feeding the llamas, our Young People had a fabulous day in a calm, friendly and beautiful environment. Time spent with these beautiful animals is known to reduce stress, anxiety, boost mood and self-esteem and fosters responsibility and empathy which we should all show not only to pets, but to all creatures in this world.
