Nightshades....

Nightshade plants, such as potatoes, tomatoes, and eggplants, contain solanine. This substance may increase the leakiness of the intestines and affect the gastrointestinal microbiota, indirectly increasing the inflammation relating to arthritis.

nightshades can trigger GI symptoms of abdominal pain, diarrhea, but also systemic symptoms of tiredness and exhaustion after exposure to these chemicals!

Tomatoes
Aubergines
Potatoes
Peppers Inc chilli, sweet, bell and capsicum peppers.

Solanines are not destroyed by cooking, but, boiling, frying and microwaving does reduce the amount of the compounds. Microwaving being the best method.

Peel potatoes before eating too reduce the solanines in them even further.

My challenge today is to plate up a meal on a serving platter, May make the meal look comically small and another in the smallest dish I own and take note of the hunger afterwards... am I satisfied or hungry for more?
I also have to plate up a meal to make it as visually appealing as possible, fresh herbs sprinkled on tip, use a plate colour to make my meal stand out... all that jazz! This will be fun!

The BEST thing about this weightloss is the energy I have now!
I am able to get up and get on so much easier... Adhd isn't easy and combine it with my Autism and the two clash so much it makes tasks virtually impossible... but, add being nearly 20st to that and I could hardly move too.
Standing at the sink to wash up was agonising for my lower back and simple housework was extreme pain. I live with Hypermobility and Arthritis and both conditions were exacerbated by my obesity. I could barely walk to my local shop without horrific back pains and needing to sit and rest, now I can make it through a day and push up to 18,000 steps, and still not need to rest until the end of the day.
I'm getting my body back!!!
