☕💙 Surviving Socials 💙☕

Parent caring can be rewarding, exhausting, isolating, overwhelming, joyful, frustrating, and everything in between—sometimes all before 9am.

That's exactly why we created Surviving Socials.

📅 Today
🕙 10am
📍 Choice HQ

Join us for a relaxed, friendly coffee morning exclusively for parent carers. No pressure, no expectations, and no need to explain why you're running late, forgot the biscuits, or haven't replied to messages for three weeks.

Come along for:
☕ A cuppa and a chat
💙 Connection with people who genuinely understand
🌈 A chance to share experiences, tips, and support
😊 A space where you can be yourself without judgement
🤝 Friendship, laughter, and community
🏠 Check out our new building

Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, having a good week, or simply want to get out of the house for an hour or two, you're very welcome.

Because sometimes surviving is enough.
And sometimes the best support comes from sitting with people who just get it.

💙 We look forward to seeing you there.

☕🌈💙

💙 CARERS WEEK 2026 💙

Do you know an incredible parent carer who deserves a little recognition?

This years Carers Week, we want to celebrate ALL of the amazing parent carers in our community — the ones who give endlessly, advocate fiercely, juggle the impossible, and still show up every single day. 🌟

Whether they support a child with additional needs, navigate appointments and paperwork, provide emotional support, or simply keep going through the hard days… we see them, and we know how much they do.

Nominate a parent carer you know and help us give them a little treat this Carers Week as a reminder that they matter too 💛

✨ Nominations close May 31st
✨ Nominate someone who deserves kindness, recognition, and a moment for themselves
✨ Let’s celebrate the strength, love, and resilience of parent carers together

Hi there,
We’d really appreciate your help in sharing something new with the adults, communities, and support networks you work with across Consett and surrounding areas. 💛
Launching Tuesday 5th May - SAFE HAVEN @ The GloHouse (Consett)
Thanks to funding from Pioneering Care Partnership’s Happiness Hubs programme, ImaginAble Me CIC is opening the doors to Safe Haven - a free weekly creative wellbeing drop-in for adults (18+) who may be experiencing loneliness, anxiety, overwhelm, stress, isolation, or simply need somewhere safe, calm and welcoming to be.
This is not a formal referral-based service.
There are no expectations.
No pressure.
No judgement.
Just a warm, gentle space where people can come exactly as they are.
Whether someone would benefit from:
☕ A cuppa in a safe space
🎨 Gentle creative activities
💬 Friendly conversation
🤝 Light-touch support and signposting
🌈 Simply being around other people for a while
…Safe Haven is here.
When: Every Tuesday from Tuesday 5th May
Time: 12pm - 2pm
Where: The GloHouse, 80 Medomsley Road, Consett
This project has been created for those moments when life feels heavy, and traditional support can sometimes feel overwhelming or out of reach.
We know not everyone needs “services”... sometimes they just need somewhere kind to land.
How You Can Help:
Please share this with:
• Mental health teams
• Social prescribers
• GP surgeries
• Community connectors
• Housing teams
• Support workers
• Food banks
• Family hubs
• Wellbeing networks
• Anyone supporting adults who may benefit
Together, we can help more people find a space where they can breathe, connect, and feel a little less alone.
If you’d like posters, social graphics, or more information, just drop us an email at [email protected].
Thank you for helping us spread the word about something gentle, human, and needed.
Warm wishes,
Kaz & Tee
