It started with a ‘Box’. Four women wanting to spread a little positivity during lockdown. Creating packages filled with treats to nurture the mind and body; and most importantly, to remind someone they were being thought of. It brought joy to our hearts, and I knew I wanted to do more.
As a parent raising a child without a support system, lockdown honestly felt like a normal day for us. But for so many parents, it was the first time they were experiencing motherhood without the support they were used to.
So I created a Wellness Series; a wellbeing box each month, filled with small rituals and treats to support the mind, body and soul. I hosted lives to talk about the ‘stuff’ we don’t always talk about and loved sharing simple wellbeing tips that could fit into real life.
Because sometimes it’s the smallest rituals that help us survive. And that’s exactly what I had learnt.
Moving back to the UK, left me feeling lost for a while. Through it all, I still found myself sharing wellbeing tips for women, looking for something simple for themselves and their families too.
In 2023, I rebranded to Amba Rituals, with the intention of sharing seasonal rituals and remedies, alongside social walks and coffee mornings. Being around women who ‘got it’ became such an important part of my wellbeing too. A moment to pause, connect and just be.
And whilst life continued to feel chaotic, I realised the ritual I always came back to was a face massage.
My love for face massage goes far beyond the early days of wellness boxes (it just took me a while to realise it 🤦🏽♀️)
Businesses evolve. You pivot, learn and grow, slowly uncovering what it is you truly want to share with the world. And somewhere along the way, I realised what I wanted to create was more than a facial.
I wanted to create a space where women could simply let go. Rest. Be looked after. To make their soul feel happy.
Looking back, every part of this journey has always come back to the same thing - creating space for women to slow down, reconnect with themselves and find comfort in the small rituals that carry us through ✨
I’d love for you to join me sometime x
