Twenty-two months ago today, I responded to a Facebook advert that claimed a man had healed his own brain.
It sounded far-fetched, and I wasn’t sure whether to believe it or not. But at that point in my life, I didn’t really care. The tickets were inexpensive, so my expectations weren’t particularly high. I simply wanted a day out in London, a change of scenery, and a chance to escape the constant noise in my mind.
Then I attended my first workshop with Ray Behan.
The only word I could find afterwards was: WOW.
Since that day in September 2024, I’ve attended two more workshops, and they’ve helped me begin one of the most important journeys of my life.
I’ve looked deep within myself and rediscovered the person I truly am. I’ve released years of trauma, learnt to protect my energy, and become comfortable saying “no” when something doesn’t serve me. I’ve learnt to embrace every emotion and every experience—whether joyful or difficult—and to look for balance in all aspects of life.
There are still good days and bad days. Some days I need to pause, rest, and listen to what my body and mind are telling me. I’ve learnt to trust my own instincts instead of the opinions of others. I’ve found peace where I once sought distraction, and I’ve discovered strength in slowing down.
It hasn’t always been easy. At times, it’s been overwhelming. But over the past few months, I’ve reached a place I never thought possible.
I can honestly say: I love who I am.
I’m proud of the person I’ve become. I’ve taken responsibility for my mistakes, learnt from my past, and finally feel at peace with the person I’ll spend the rest of my life with—me.
Today marks the beginning of another exciting chapter as I start a new full-time job. I’m excited, nervous, confident and apprehensive all at once—and that’s okay. Growth often comes with uncertainty, and I’ve learnt that balance is what keeps us grounded.
If you’re searching for the person you used to be before life became complicated, don’t give up. They’re still there, waiting to be rediscovered.
And if you need someone to walk alongside you, or simply someone to listen, my inbox is always open. ❤️
