🍃 A Leaf from Ginkgo
Sit with who you are now
Sometimes we imagine that once we have processed something, we should feel ready to move forward
But often, there is a quiet space afterwards
A time when we may withdraw a little…not because we are stuck or shutting the world out, but because we need space to notice what has changed within us
I have found myself in that space recently
Sitting quietly with what surfaced…allowing it to soften…noticing that, although I may have processed what happened, moving through it has changed me
Yet perhaps this isn’t about becoming someone new.
Perhaps, beneath everything we have carried, we are slowly becoming reacquainted with our core…our essential self…the part of us that has always been there, even when we could no longer feel it clearly
There is no need to rush to fill the space or decide what comes next…sometimes we simply need time and quiet to recognise ourselves again
So, if this resonates, place your hands over your heart. Let your eyes gently close down and take a slow breath.
Pause.
Notice what feels familiar.
You don’t need to understand it, name it or do anything with it today.
Just make room to sit with your essential self again. 🍃
