REAL PEOPLE. REAL EXPERIENCES. REAL REVIEWS.

One of our favourite things about Oxify is hearing how our customers feel after their sessions.

For many, visiting a hyperbaric oxygen centre for the first time can come with a few questions — but our teams are here to make the experience as welcoming and comfortable as possible.

Here’s what some of our customers have said:

💬 “Lisa welcomed me with a lovely smile, and I felt at ease right away.”
— Tiphaine, Oxify York

💬 “The chamber was spotless and very relaxing, and the waiting area was lovely and welcoming. The staff were friendly and made me feel completely at ease.”
— Amy, Oxify Leeds

💬 “I love going and feel so much better afterwards, I'll continue attending Oxify York for as long as I can.”
— Hannah, Oxify York

💬 “Always love coming to Oxify. I feel safe and well looked after. The chamber is very comfortable and it’s nice to relax for an hour in there.”
— Isabel, Oxify Manchester

These are just a few of our reviews but we would like to say "Thank you" to everyone who has taken the time to leave us a review.

Your words really do help someone who is considering their first session know what to expect — and, most importantly, know that they’ll be looked after.

You don’t have to be injured to give your body a little extra care.

When people hear HBOT (Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy), they often think of specific reasons for having it — wound healing, injury recovery or other medical needs.

But it doesn’t always have to be about fixing something.

Sometimes, it’s simply about you.

Taking time out. Slowing down. Relaxing. Giving yourself a little space away from the busy-ness of everyday life.

At Oxify Hyperbaric Oxygen Centre, we believe you don’t always need a reason to look after yourself.

Sometimes, “I fancy doing something good for myself” is reason enough.

When was the last time you did something just for you?

THE OXIFY HBOT DICTIONARY

Ever been researching Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy and come across terms that sound a little confusing?

HBOT. ATA. Hyperbaric. Pressurisation. Decompression…

What do they all actually mean?

🔹 HBOT – Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
🔹 Hyperbaric – relating to higher-than-normal pressure
🔹 ATA – a measurement of pressure
🔹 Oxygen concentration – the amount of oxygen in the gas being breathed
🔹 Pressurisation – gradually increasing the pressure in the chamber
🔹 Decompression – gradually reducing the pressure at the end of a session

Because understanding HBOT shouldn't feel like learning another language.

And this is just the beginning…

Is there an HBOT term you've seen online that you've never quite understood?

Tell us below — it might be the next entry in The Oxify HBOT Dictionary!

Let’s talk about your ears

One of the most common questions we hear about HBOT is: “What happens if my ears pop?”

As the chamber pressurises, you may notice your ears popping or feeling a little full — much like the sensation you get when flying.

But there’s no need to worry.

Our team controls the rate of pressurisation throughout your session. We’ll guide you through equalising your ears and, if you need a little more time, we can slow the process down to help you feel comfortable.

Your comfort is always our priority.

A little pressure. A natural adjustment. And a team there to support you.

What happens after a session?

Your Hyperbaric Oxygen ( HBOT) session might be over, but your body continues to adjust afterwards.

Here are a few simple things to keep in mind:

-Stay hydrated – keep your fluids up throughout the day.
-Listen to your body – feeling relaxed or tired? Give yourself time to rest.
-Notice your ears – some fullness or popping can occur following pressure changes.
- Don't expect an instant change – you may notice something after a session, or you may not.
- Think beyond the chamber – sleep, nutrition, hydration and appropriate activity all play a part in recovery.

HBOT is one part of the bigger picture.

Ever wondered what actually happens inside the HBOT chamber?

If you’ve never tried Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, the thought of going inside the chamber can feel a little unfamiliar.

But there’s no need to worry.

Our trained staff control the pressure, increasing it slowly and at a pace tailored to you. You can see and hear our team through the chamber windows throughout your session, and there’s a bell inside if you need to attract our attention.

We’ll check on you regularly, while giving you the space to simply relax and switch off.

And when your session is finished, we gradually reduce the pressure before you leave.

Ever wondered why oxygen under pressure is such a big deal?

It’s not just about breathing more oxygen… it’s about getting more oxygen where your body can use it.

During Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT), you breathe high-concentration oxygen inside a pressurised chamber.

This is where Henry’s Law comes in. -
In simple terms, Henry’s Law tells us that the higher the pressure of a gas, the more of that gas can dissolve into a liquid.

So, under pressure, more oxygen dissolves directly into your blood plasma — helping oxygen reach areas of the body that may need it.

And then there’s angiogenesis — a fancy medical word for the formation of new blood vessels.

Oxygen plays an important role in signalling the body to support this process, particularly during tissue repair and healing.

So while you're lying in the chamber thinking, “Well… this is quite relaxing " , there’s actually some fascinating science happening at a cellular level.
