What a busy and enjoyable week we've had! 😊
On Wednesday, a couple of our residents enjoyed a lovely trip to Birling Gap, taking in the fresh sea air and beautiful views. In the afternoon, we were entertained by a fantastic singer who performed a wonderful mix of jazz and rock classics, with plenty of singing along and toe-tapping!
Thursday was just as busy, with a visit to the Tennis Café for some refreshments and good company. Back at the home, residents got creative during our arts and crafts session, producing some lovely artwork and enjoying a relaxing afternoon together.
Thank you to everyone who helped make the week so special. We’re already looking forward to more fun activities next week! 💙

This afternoon, we enjoyed spending time in the garden planting marigolds and petunias. 🌼🌸
As they planted, conversations quickly turned to the gardens they once cared for, and the flowers they loved to grow. It was wonderful to see residents sharing their knowledge, teaching one another different gardening techniques, and reminiscing about years gone by.
A lovely afternoon filled with friendship, shared memories, and plenty of gardening wisdom. 💚

We had some very special visitors at the home today from Pet Pals Therapy🐾💛
Our residents enjoyed spending time with adorable guinea pigs they could hold, along with playful kittens and a friendly dog. The smiles on everyone’s faces said it all! Thank you to Pet Pals Therapy for bringing so much joy, comfort and companionship to our residents today 🐹🐱🐶

What a beautiful way to end Dementia Action Week 💙
Today, our residents enjoyed planting Forget-Me-Not seeds as a symbol of love, remembrance, and support for everyone affected by dementia, those living with it today and those forever in our hearts.
With the sun shining brightly, we also spent the afternoon enjoying a lovely garden party filled with good company, music, laughter, and plenty of smiles. 🎶🌼

A walk may seem simple to many, but for our residents today was about so much more than just walking 💜 Fresh air, laughter, conversation, memories, movement, connection, and meaningful moments shared together. These are the moments that truly matter.
