International Women’s Day Offer
To mark International Women’s Day, I’m offering a reduced rate (£25) for the Rising Women Hike taking place on Sunday 22 March - Burnout and the Systems That Shape Us.

Along the way we’ll explore:
• Walking together through the Seven Sisters landscape
• Simple nature-based practices to support wellbeing
• Honest conversations and practical tools for recognising and moving through burnout
• Space to connect with other women in a supportive and relaxed setting

No hiking experience is needed - just a willingness to spend time outdoors and walk together.

Start 2026 with a calm, steady reset 🌿

Join us for a Rising Women Hike on Sunday, January 4, from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

Step into the stunning Seven Sisters landscape and reconnect with what matters most. This nurturing hike for women features a guided walk, nature connection activity, reflective talk, and self-care practice.

Leave feeling refreshed, grounded, and in tune with yourself and the natural world.
We use the walk to slow down, reflect, and learn practical tools for setting boundaries and looking after ourselves. The walk is led by Dr. Felicity Butler, drawing on her 25 years in gender justice and wellbeing work.

Proud to be a finalist for the 2025 Eastbourne Local Enterprise and Apprenticeship Platform (LEAP) awards.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me so far. It means a lot to stand here with councillor Stephen Holt and hold my certificate. This is just the start!

We’re more than a hike. We tell stories about trailblazing women, past and present. Girls are encouraged to talk about what really matters: beauty, pressure, belonging and anxiety. They are inspired to be themselves and to take positive action in their lives.

How connected to nature are you really?

In yesterday’s Guardian, a new study revealed that Britain is one of the least nature-connected nations in the world - ranking 55th out of 61 countries (Guardian, 01/11/25).

The study looked at 57,000 people globally and found some revealing patterns.

Countries with higher “ease of doing business” scores had lower nature connection. Our business-focused culture has come at a cost.

Despite Britain having one of the highest levels of environmental organisation membership globally, this had little impact on actual closeness to nature. Joining organisations isn’t enough.

The strongest predictor of nature connection? Spirituality - that deeper sense of being part of the natural world.

The lead researcher explained it well: we’ve become a more rational, economic and scientific society, which has brought benefits, but we need to reintegrate natural thinking into our technological world and make nature integral to our wellbeing, so it becomes respected and almost sacred.

The good news? Connection can be restored.

Seven Sisters Rising offers guided walks along the South Downs:

- Rising Girl Hikes for girls aged 9-14
- Rising Women Hikes for women

A chance to step away from screens, experience the Seven Sisters cliffs, and reconnect with the natural world through movement and fresh air.

Because nature connection isn’t just about what we do. It’s about how we feel, think, and value our place in the living world.
