roups

Assessments can be performed as standardised or observational to suit the needs of the client. A full report will be written with the results of the assessment, as well as bespoke therapeutic strategies that can be used at both home and school. Assessment methods types are as follows:
Standardised
Clinical observations (semi standardised)
Observations in play
This includes discussion with parents and carers. Online sensory profiles assess how the young person is processing their environment. Once difficulties are highlighted, our Occupational Therapist creates a bespoke therapy programme for both home and school/nursery to alleviate symptoms the young person may be experiencing. Identifying the WHY to a young person’s behaviour can be incredibly valuable in understanding their needs and therefore adjustments to support them can be put in place. We currently have space in our Monday Pre-school Social groups.

🌟 Let’s Do It with Sean! 🌟

This week Sean is sharing his tips for trying something new.

Trying something new can feel exciting… but it can also feel a bit scary! Sean reminds us that you don’t have to be perfect, you just have to give it a go.

Start small, take your time, ask for help if you need it — and remember, trying is already a big win.

Go on… let’s do it!

Sean is getting ready for a big new chapter — finishing high school and taking his next steps towards adulthood.

In this series, Sean shares his life in his own simple, honest and brilliant way — the exciting bits, the tricky bits, the funny bits, and the “let’s just give it a go” moments.

From growing up, making choices, trying new things, building confidence and getting ready for what comes next… Sean is showing us that adulthood doesn’t have to happen all at once.

It starts with small steps, big smiles, and saying: “Let’s do it!” 💪✨

Monday’s Sense of the Day with Sean!

This week Sean is talking all about taste and smell.

Taste and smell help us enjoy food, notice what we like, and sometimes warn us when something is too strong, too spicy, too stinky… or just not for us!

Sean will be sharing this in his own fun and simple way — because our senses help us understand the world around us.

Let’s learn together! 🌟

🌟 Sean’s Makaton: This Is Me 🌟

We’re so excited with Sean’s Makaton hes added this into his Lets Do It series — a fun, friendly series where Sean shares signs, stories, confidence and communication in his own brilliant way.

This week’s theme is “This Is Me” — all about celebrating who we are, what we like, how we feel, and the little things that make us unique.

Because communication isn’t just about words… it’s about being seen, heard and understood. 💛

Keep an eye out for Sean’s signs, smiles and superstar moments!
