World Fibromyalgia Awareness Day, World Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME/CFS) Awareness Day and World Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME/CFS).

These conditions cause ongoing symptoms including feeling unwell or malaise, being exhausted/fatigued, pain, brain fog, breathlessness and poor sleep, which can affect all areas of people’s lives, but the symptoms are often hidden and not always well understood.

If you get these symptoms fill out a rapid health and speak to your GP.

This week is Mental Health Awareness Week.

As volunteers in Search & Rescue, we know the importance of looking after not only our physical wellbeing — but our mental wellbeing too. From challenging callouts to balancing volunteering, work and home life, it’s important to check in with ourselves and with each other.

This year’s theme is “Action” — reminding us that even small actions can make a big difference. A conversation, a brew, a walk, or simply asking someone if they’re okay can all help.
