Hike 🏞️ - Sauna πŸ§–β€β™€οΈ - Swim πŸŠβ€β™€οΈ - Camp πŸš™...Repeat!! πŸ˜… Do you do any preventative self care or forward-planning with looking after your wellbeing? I think this is what I have been doing the past few weeks with this little routine trying to get outdoors as much as I can, soaking up the light, warmth, loch/sea water and last of the good weather. Get some cardio in with the hikes, some calming with the saunas and endorphin boosts with the cold dipping. Then some beautiful views, relaxation & tech detox just passively observing nature out the back of the van. πŸ’š
When I get back from these micro adventure trips I notice my RHR lowered & HRV raised which I think and hope is a good thing!
Are you banking any good feelings in any nurturing wellbeing routines as we head into the ber months?

We are deeping it this Friday guys in the hopes of a dread-free weekend! πŸ˜…πŸ₯€β˜ οΈ Some brief & bitesize coping tips for anyone experiencing Existential Dread, Angst or Anxiety and even Chronophobia (i.e. fear of time passing)? ⏱️

Existential Dread is a profound, deep-seated feeling of anxiety, fear, unease, or despair that arises when a person confronts the fundamental uncertainties of human existence, the meaning of life, your place in the universe, and the reality of your own mortality.

I have been getting a bout of it all this week and I think I have worked out my triggers! I was recently back home in Ireland at my 25 year 🀯 University reunion prompting some midlife reflections, I thought/felt I was going to die several times riding the scariest rollercoasters at Emerald Park 🎒😱 with my nephews and then returned to Edinburgh to yet another start of a new season and term at Uni, I honestly don't know where the time goes! βŒ›

When I reflect upon my fear of the end of life and death, I try to remind myself (in terms of my belief system) that at the end, we may not exist in conscious awareness to perceive non-existence, so why fear it? Though I still find it hard to contend with the potential impact of my death upon others but maybe this isn't for me to manage and I might try to outlive everyone anyway! πŸ˜…

It's amazing how just coming back to focusing in the present moment is really the solution for most mental suffering! πŸ™ As well as knowing that you are not alone and these are just feelings passing through! And I really feel we should be talking about all this more, even the taboo topics, share the load, know that it is all normal. Are there Existential Dread cafes? πŸ˜…

I hope you have a burden-free w.end where you can! I booked another loch sauna in beautiful scenery to make the most of the sunny weather and in some ways, my life as I really feel I am living well when I take off for these adventures in my van, thus reducing dread somewhat! What actions will you take to reduce yours?

Anyone here ever experience Existential Dread, Angst or Anxiety? Or maybe a touch of Chronophobia (i.e. fear of time passing)? ⏱️

I have been getting a bout of it this week and I think I have worked out my triggers! I was recently back home in Ireland at my 25 year 🀯 University reunion prompting some midlife reflections, I thought/felt I was going to die several times riding the scariest rollercoasters at Emerald Park 🎒😱 with my nephews and then returned to Edinburgh to yet another start of a new term at Uni, I honestly don't know where the time goes! βŒ›

How do you experience ED and what are your triggers?
I will follow up with a further bitesize resource for coping with these feelings and thoughts if it might be useful to you. It has been to me so far! It's amazing how just coming back to the present moment helps with so much! πŸ˜…πŸ™πŸ˜Œ
