No two patients are the same.

Your veins, symptoms, lifestyle, medical history and concerns are all unique to you, which is why your care should never feel like a standard package.

At Scottish Vein Centre, your treatment journey starts with a private medical consultation and a detailed assessment, including ultrasound, so we can understand what is happening properly before discussing next steps.

You will receive honest advice, clear information and specialist clinical care from a team focused on helping you move forward with confidence.

There is no pressure to commit to treatment. Just time to understand your options and make the decision that feels right for you.

One of the things we feel makes Scottish Vein Centre different is our team.

Yes, we are a specialist medical clinic. Yes, your care, safety and treatment are always our priority. But we also believe the atmosphere around your care matters too.

We love what we do, and we genuinely enjoy working together. There is usually a laugh somewhere along the way, and we think that helps create a warm, relaxed and reassuring environment for our patients.

That will never distract from your care. It simply means you are being looked after by a team who enjoy their work, care about their patients and want you to feel comfortable from the moment you arrive.

Private medical treatment can feel like a big step, especially if you are unsure what to expect. Our aim is to make the experience feel clear, calm and human.

Professional care, honest advice and a team who actually love what they do.

That is very much us.

Everybody is built differently, and that includes your veins.

That is why an ultrasound scan is such an important part of the consultation process at Scottish Vein Centre.

A scan helps us understand each patient’s individual venous anatomy, where the leak points are and where the reflux is coming from. This matters because varicose veins do not always develop in exactly the same way from one person to another.

Once we understand what is happening beneath the surface, we can plan treatment around the individual patient. That may mean using laser in a specific area, adding foam sclerotherapy alongside laser, or adapting the approach based on the scan findings.

The same treatment protocol should not simply be used for every patient.

At Scottish Vein Centre, your treatment is planned around you, your anatomy and your clinical needs.

It is one of the reasons we place such importance on careful assessment before treatment. Clear information first, then the right plan for you.

Every patient’s treatment journey is different, and outcomes will vary depending on their individual veins, symptoms, medical history and treatment plan.

This image shows a visible difference following treatment at Scottish Vein Centre.

For us, these images are not about suggesting how someone should look. They are about helping people understand what treatment may involve, what changes can sometimes be seen and why a detailed consultation is so important.

At Scottish Vein Centre, every patient starts with a thorough assessment, including ultrasound, so we can understand what is happening beneath the surface before discussing suitable treatment options.

No pressure. No rushed decisions. Just honest clinical advice from a specialist team.

Meet our Kate!
Kate is part of the team supporting treatments at Scottish Vein Centre, helping prepare everything needed during procedures and making sure patients feel comfortable throughout their visit.

Having been part of the clinic for many years, Kate speaks about the strong sense of teamwork that has grown over the last two decades and why the clinic feels more like a family than a workplace.

In this video, she shares a little about her role and what makes Scottish Vein Centre such a special place to work.

One of the most common questions we’re asked is simple:

“Is vein treatment going to hurt?”

For many people, the idea of treatment can feel far worse than the reality.

Modern vein treatments are very different from the older surgical approaches people often imagine. Treatments are now minimally invasive, carried out under local anaesthetic and designed to make the experience as comfortable as possible.

In this video, Dr Rajesh Bhat explains:
→ Why modern vein treatment is far less invasive
→ How local anaesthetic is used
→ What patients typically experience during treatment
→ Why so many patients are surprised by how straightforward it feels

Our team also understands that reassurance matters just as much as treatment itself. Everything is carried out in a calm, supportive and relaxed environment.
