Our mission is to help people regain control of their health, mental wholeness, and well-being, build their confidence and self-esteem, and gain greater awareness and understanding of themselves. This event is for the wider community as well as for everyone who has Nature Connection knowledge and would like to share their skills.

This community gathering is suitable for everyone interested in connecting deeper with nature and is an opportunity for you to create and be surrounded by community.

At this gathering, we use the 8 Shields model which is dynamic design tool useful for all aspects of our lives from understanding our natural rhythms, to repairing our neurobiological and sensory systems.

The 8 shields model can be used for planning events and projects to designing peaceful regenerative communities and culture repair. It is a pattern language that has been tried and tested over millennia of human existence, all over the world and it belongs to us all.

You are warmly invited to join us for our Samhain Community Event, a sacred gathering to mark the Celtic New Year, a time of endings, beginnings, and deep connection.

Samhain is one of the most powerful points in the Celtic Wheel of the Year. As the veil between worlds grows thin, we honour our ancestors, release what no longer serves us, and welcome the dark season with reverence and intention. It is a time to reflect, remember, and reconnect, with the land, with each other, and with the unseen.

Time: Morning 10am to 1pm

Note: Places are limited to 16 participants. For the best experience, we are looking for participants who can commit to the full series of 4 sessions.

Please book all sessions ahead to ensure your place is reserved.

Wear warm clothes, and come prepared for all weather. You’re welcome to bring a packed lunch with you if you wish. Hot tea will be provided.

The Planetary Healing Centre is excited to relaunch this project in partnership with The Free Company funded by the Edinburgh Communities Climate Action Network (ECCAN) Greenlight.

This project is for participants to gather, get to know one another, learn and plan what we will grow this season and begin to think about growing for the coming year.

What to Expect:

Welcome circle & introductions
Interactive workshop: composting, soil preparation, trees planting, etc.
Grow‑plan mapping & support
Refreshment, sharing, reflection, journaling

For over 25 years Vanina worked as a scientist dedicated to protecting the natural environment. Her professional life has been rooted in the land and protection of water: understanding hydrological cycles and ecosystems, supporting their restoration, and helping safeguard the places we depend on. Nature has always been at the centre of her work, long before it became part of her healing.

She would like to share some of this journey in a workshop format at our woodland - Restorative Woodland Experience.

Happening this upcoming Saturday, October 3rd. 2/4pm.

This journey is a well thought practice to help you slow down, reconnect to nature and your body.

October is near. 🍂
We are going through the Autumn Equinox portal and nature is changing, slowing down, giving us signs of gentle reflection and preparation for the winter ahead.

This is what we have lined up for October. More nature, more community, but some opportunities to reflect and contemplate the summer that has just passed.

We hope you can join us to some of our circles, in the woodland around the fire or in our cozy yurt.

Have a blissful transition to this stunning season that is autumn. Don’t forget to connect to the animals and plants and what they are doing right now, perhaps you can support nature in some way in your surroundings, garden, local park.

Relax into a deeply restorative experience of guided visualisation and immersive sound.

Using crystal singing bowls, gong, drum, ocean drum, Koshi bells and gentle percussion, this session is designed to support grounding, release, and inner stillness.

A NOTE FROM THE PLANETARY HEALING CENTRE

Our dearest Sue gave many years to The Planetary Healing Centre, first as a volunteer trustee, and later as a volunteer planner who supported our planning and visioning days with real wisdom. Sue walked the shamanic path with real courage and openness, but what set her apart was that her spirituality was never just for herself. It was something she put into service.

When Covid came and we were all uncertain, it was Sue who lifted our spirit. She was the first to gather the trustees and volunteers together, to help us find hope again and imagine a future, leading a visioning day online when we could not meet in person. She carried us through one of our darkest passages.

We are, and will always be, deeply grateful to her.
