When I was little, I never thought I would get married, didn’t think someone could love me with a stoma. It didn’t feel normal, or pretty, or something someone would choose.

Even when I was 20, people asked me why I would want a stoma, and if that meant I didn’t want to get married one day. That question stayed with me for a long time.

So don’t be scared to wear the dress of your dreams!

Trust your body and trust yourself.

If I can walk down the aisle with a stoma and make it through the day without a bag bursting, then anyone can.

2025
The year I swam with seals, ran a marathon (even when my bag fell off), attended 2 home births, and then left midwifery to become a train driver, Sam the dog was brought into our lives and we had the wedding of our dreams

Life can be so good, do it your way 💙
