In the first half, you’ll explore functional breathing, breath biomechanics, and the connection between your breath and your nervous system. Learn simple, practical techniques to improve relaxation, sleep, focus, and energy levels.

In the second half, you’ll be guided through a restorative breathwork journey to help you relax, reset, and let go.

This weekend winter retreat is for you if you'd like to connect to the colder& darker months in a different way, embrace the winter season and learn how to tap into the wisdom of winter!

and I have created a space to tune into, rather than fight against, the natural rhythms of nature and our bodies. Come and join us in one of the most magical places in Scotland, in the Cairngorms, to be guided through breath work sessions, nature awareness practices, learn about your circadian rhythm and the importance of natural light, cold water immersions and much more. "This experience truly was priceless. My time spent with Allan and Lisa was priceless.

I emerged from the Embrace the Winter retreat feeling fully rejuvenated and inspired. Each day was a perfect blend of thoughtfully planned activities and going with the flow of the group. I was visiting from America and really wanted to connect with Scotland in an authentic way. I learned breathing techniques from Allan that I can apply in everyday life no matter where I am and I learned so much from Lisa about nature, new plants, our bodies' natural rhythms, and so much more. ❄️Winter in all its glory in the Highlands❄️

We were blessed with some truly magical and special days of crisp, clear, and beautiful winter weather here in Deeside last week. The Cailleach's breath covering the land and rivers, gifting such sweet and clear brightness for the spirit. The divine sparkle of sun on snow and ice is something I cherish so deeply. I love the crisp sound of my feet breaking through pristine layers of snow and the purifying feeling of icy air entering my nostrils and lungs. The lightness the snow brings into the landscape is such joy for my being at this time of year. I love to feel the cold and immerse myself in the elements, and I also love to feel the warm embrace of a fire afterwards. 'Out of the head, into the body, fully feeling and always in awe of the wee miracles of the everyday, every snow flake and every ray of sunlight is a gift' - winter whispers to my bones.

Get ready to release tension, cultivate mindfulness, and tap into the infinite wisdom that lies within you. Connect to your body and tap into the healing and transformative power of your breath during a guided workshop diving deep into the world of breathwork

During this 2.5 hour experience, you will learn how to use your breath for physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. During the first half, you will learn all about functional breathing, breathing biomechanics and the link between your breath and your nervous system. We will explore fun and practical exercises to integrate into your everyday life for deep relaxation, better sleep, more energy and better focus.

During the second half of this experience you will be guided on a meditative breathwork journey, where you can completely let go, relax, reset, and restore.

Why do so many people struggle in the colder and darker winter months?

If you live in the Northern Hemisphere you will have noticed a shift in the seasons and the energy in nature is slowly drawing inwards and down into the earth. Days are getting shorter, temperatures colder, the landscape is shifting. This time of year can be challenging for people as many modern humans live a life that’s quite disconnected from the natural rhythms and cycles in nature we evolved in…that’s why Allan and I have created a retreat to connect us to these natural rhythms inside and outside of our bodies - together we will explore how to 𝐄𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫!

Rather than resisting this time of year or just struggling through, we will explore how we can truly thrive by tuning into these shifts and changes, tapping into the wisdom of winter and attuning our bodies' natural cycles to our environment. There will be breathwork, circadian biology workshops, nature awareness practices, cold water therapy, forest games, nourishing local and seasonal food, a hillside evening sauna, fire gathering, community connection and more….
