Anti inflammatory diets for body composition?

On the surface you might think well anti inflammatory programmes just promote healthy eating & moving your body & resting enough & yes for sure that’s all great

But they’re lying to you & they’re overcomplicating everything & they’re giving you more rigid rules to follow which makes your food noise louder & your relationship wtih food worse

Which by the way both sucks for your fat loss goals if you have them & makes it much harder & much harder to keep it off

Nothing has changed when it comes to fat loss or feeling leaner around your mid section

You need to find a way to stay in a deficit that is accessible for you & figure out why you’re overeating & heal that part of you

PS not all food noise can be resolved with removing restriction & some people naturally have higher levels of it than others but there are lots of things you can do to manage it & maybe totally silence it most of the time

Breakfast can be a gentle reminder that you’re worthy of nourishment

It can help manage your hunger later in the day

It’s also potentially ‘better’ metabolically because of changes in insulin sensitivity and gastric emptying later in the day

If you’re someone who binge or overeats, skipping breakfast is stopping you from recovering

No matter how much resistance you feel towards it

I used to just see this is in bodybuilders but more than ever people are coming to work with me for period recovery from general dieting behaviours

I’m not trying to scare anyone I recognise it’s much harder than just choosing health over thinness but as the ‘norm’ becomes extremely low body fat this is important

When you can’t think your way out of it

No one really talks about how hard it is to stop tracking when you’re binge eating
Because it gives you a semblance of control in a day-to-day that feels out of control
