Do you know someone aged 11-25 living with type 1 diabetes? Invite them to join Together Type 1 for their Type 1 and totally heard webinar! This event is all about sharing experiences of growing up with type 1 diabetes.

Young Leaders, Amber and Aashna will be sharing about their experiences, there will also be a healthcare professional who'll be taking part in an interview. The session will finish off with an interactive empowerment session and Q&A.

✈️ Type One Diabetes - My Travel Tips ✈️

* Pack double as much as you think you need as with the pool and suncream CM’s and pump sites fall off easier.

* Always keep in hand luggage, get letter from diabetes clinic saying allowed to carry all equipment (I’ve never been asked but heard some airports asked)

* You’re allowed food through so take snacks / gels

* Take a copy of a prescription with you incase you need to get anything over there.

* Remember to change time on pump (some pumps provide holiday loaners incase it fails)

* Play by ear but a lot of people need more / less insulin in the sun / hot weather - dehydration spikes for me so keep hydrated

* Get holiday insurance always - I found cheap year one with admiral

* FRIO bag to keep insulin cool whilst travelling

* Bring injection & needles if on pump in case it fails

* Bring finger prick, meter & test strips if on CGM in case fails
