A beehive is basically a tiny, very organised apartment building, and every floor has a purpose. Swipe through and see how it all fits together, roof to floor.

Jackson was kind enough to share his honey shortbread recipe with us, and itโ€™s definitely one worth making. ๐Ÿฏ

Buttery, soft and made with honey, theyโ€™re a lovely little bake for the weekend (and a good addition to the lunchbox once Monday rolls around).

The full recipe is now on our blog. Head to the link in our bio if youโ€™d like to give them a go ๐Ÿช

From September onwards, you'll see far fewer Bees around. We are going to miss seeing our flying friends but we know they've got their heads down, working hard to prepare for winter ๐ŸŒบ

What makes our Heather Honey so special (other than the awards ๐Ÿ˜‰)?

One plant, a few short weeks, and a honey that sets like jelly and refuses to leave the comb the easy way. It takes more from both bee and beekeeper to get this one from hive to jar.

Available all year round, but this is the season it's actually made.

Tell us your favourite way to eat it.

This year, Marta flew to France to meet .sbees at Wild Oak Woods. They'd been friends through Instagram for a while, but this was the first time they could actually sit down and talk about beekeeping, honey, and why it all matters to them.

Over two evenings, they tasted honeys from India, France, and Scotland. Each one completely different from the last.

Head to our blog to read the full story (link in the comments).

Late August means two things: the summer flowers are fading and the heather is about to take over. Andy explains what's actually happening with the hives right now, whether there's a hunger gap for the bees, why these six weeks of heather matter so much for the honey, and whether we're moving the hives. ๐ŸŒผ๐Ÿ
