One of the most thought-provoking sessions of the day for our Case Managers Shikha and Veronica — a case study on how AI and voice cloning apps are helping people rebuild their identity after brain injury.

‘Tommy’s’ story — regaining his voice, reconnecting with his love of gaming, and being able to communicate with his friends again — is a powerful reminder of what rehabilitation can look like when innovation and compassionate care work together. 💙

🏴 We’re proud to be backing Scotland’s CP Football team ⚽

Two years ago, Scotland’s Cerebral Palsy Football team made history by winning the World Championship. We had the privilege of sponsoring one of their players, Kerr MacKenzie, and it left a lasting impression on all of us at Case Management Services.

So when we heard the squad had qualified for the IFCPF World Cup 2026 in Atlanta, supporting them again was an easy decision.

These incredible athletes — living with cerebral palsy, brain injury, or stroke — train and compete with the same dedication as any professional team. Yet, unlike the mainstream national squad with its multi-million-pound backing, this team is having to fundraise just to get to the tournament.

In our work, we support people living with cerebral palsy, acquired brain injury, neurological conditions, and complex disabilities every day. We see the resilience, determination, and strength it takes to overcome barriers and achieve goals — and this team represents exactly that.
They deserve their place on that world stage.

Right now, the squad is taking on an amazing 4,000-mile challenge (the distance from Glasgow to Atlanta!) and aiming to raise £50,000 to cover travel, accommodation, tournament fees, and equipment.

If you can, please show your support. You can even sponsor a player for £500.

Let’s help get them to Atlanta 🌍

Today marks the start of Action for Brain Injury Week 🧠

This year's theme is 'We See You' — an important reminder of the loneliness and isolation that so often follow a brain injury, long after the immediate medical care has ended.

Supporting people with brain injuries has been central to our work at Case Management Services since 1988. For more than 35 years, our team has stood alongside individuals and families across Scotland as they navigate rehabilitation and recovery after life-changing injury.

Recovery isn't only physical — it's emotional and social too. This week, we're proud to help raise awareness.

To everyone affected by brain injury: we see you! 💚

Today is International Day of Families — a moment to recognise the extraordinary, often invisible work families do every single day for the people they love.

When a loved one sustains a complex injury, life changes in an instant. Families step into roles they never trained for — becoming carers, advocates, therapists, coordinators, and emotional anchors, often around the clock and without pay or pause. They learn medical terminology, fight for funding, manage appointments, and hold the household together while quietly carrying their own grief and exhaustion. The dedication is humbling.

This is where case managers walk alongside families — not to take over, but to lighten the load. By navigating systems, coordinating care, and connecting families to the right support at the right time, case managers help create space for families to simply be family again. To have a meal together. To rest. To be a partner, a parent, a sibling, rather than only a carer.

To every family showing up day after day for someone they love: your strength, sacrifice, and love do not go unnoticed. You are the heart of recovery.

🧠 Head Injury Information Day 2026 – Glasgow

Our Directors Lynn and Dr Harrison are at the DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central today for the Head Injury Information Day, hosted by Brown Solicitors in support of the brain injury community.

It's been a fantastic day connecting with individuals, families, carers, and professionals affected by head and brain injury at our CMS exhibition stand. A brilliant opportunity to share what we do and learn from others doing such valuable work in this space.

A great programme of speakers covering everything from early management of head injury in the emergency department, through to community living, rehabilitation, and the power of peer support and lived experience.

Huge thanks to Digby Brown Solicitors for organising such an important event, and to everyone who has stopped by our stand for a chat.

If you couldn't make it today, the next Head Injury Information Day takes place in Edinburgh in October - we'll see you there!

Today our admin team met for a productive meeting focused on operations, improving efficiency, exploring new IT developments, and supporting each other’s growth. A small break from the desks, but an important reminder that our admin team is the backbone of our service and central to everything we do 💪
