What if the missing piece in healing is safety? 🤍
We can understand our patterns. We can talk about what happened. We can learn all the tools, change our thinking and know, logically, that we are safe…
But the body doesn’t always get the memo.
Stress, overwhelm and trauma can leave their mark on the nervous system and the way we breathe, move, respond and feel in our bodies. And when a body is still bracing, protecting or constantly on alert, talking and thinking can only take us so far.
Sometimes, before we ask the body to heal, change or let go, we need to help it feel safe enough to do so.
This is at the heart of both of my upcoming trainings:
✨ 50-Hour Somatic Yoga Training
Learning to work with the body, nervous system, sensation and movement to create practices that support regulation, reconnection and a greater sense of safety. You do not have to be a yoga teacher to complete this training, it can be adapted to a yoga class however, the training is in somatics.
✨ 20-Hour Restorative & Accessible Yoga Training
Learning how to make a yoga class or your clients safe space genuinely supportive and accessible using props, adaptations, restorative practices and the power of rest to meet the person and their body exactly where they are.
These trainings are about moving away from “What’s wrong and how do we fix it?” and towards:
“What does this body need in order to feel supported and safe?”
Because sometimes the missing piece isn’t another thing to work on. It’s finally giving the body permission to soften so that healing can take place 🤍
Perfect for yoga teachers, therapists, coaches and anyone working in wellbeing who wants to support people in a more embodied, nervous-system-aware way.
