What a another fabulous morning at Savill Garden! Not only did we introduce the new junior parkrun milestones (we will test you on the colours next month!!), 117 of you filled the park with fun and laughter and moved one more run towards getting your hands on one of the new wristbands! 😎

As we announced at our last event, we are exploring the possibility of growing our amazing event!
But to do this we need to add to our core team, in particular Run Directors. Full training etc will be given and I can promise you, it is the best fun you will have all week!...

Our free milestone wristbands have had an upgrade and now include volunteer milestone wristbands for children.

…It’s coming home! ⚽🦁🦁🦁

Yes that’s right, after 4 long weeks of hurt it’s now July and everyone has come home to Savill Garden junior parkrun. There is nothing quite like the buzz of a junior parkrun morning with the gardens looking and smelling spectacular, and the whole country riding that major tournament high.

As for the big question… how many kids are staying up late tonight for the England match? Probably all of them (even if their parents are secretly hoping the running wore them out enough to sleep through).

I think everyone enjoyed the new piece of kit today - the loudspeaker certainly grabbing everyone’s attention for the all-important briefing. As always Anna enthusiastically got everyone moving in our warm up and a huge congratulations to all the kids who reached their milestones recently and picked up their hard-earned wristbands today.

49 juniors achieved a New PB on Sunday!

23 juniors visited Savill Garden for the first time, with 15 of those children doing their first ever junior parkrun! Well done to everyone on completing the course, we hope to see you next month.

Full Marathon (21 junior parkruns)
Cleo, Cassia and Sophie completed their 21st junior parkrun today.

Half Marathon (11 junior parkruns)
Oliver and Emily completed their 11th junior parkrun today.

This week we are celebrating our volunteers, which seemed like the best week to do this shout out...!

As we look to the future of our amazing event, we are looking to expand our core team so if you are interested in being a 📋Run Director (the one who is in charge on the day!); 👥Volunteer Coordinator (the one that brings us all together for each run) ; 📣Communications (the one that shouts out about how brilliant our parkrun is) or any of the other amazing roles we have each week, please let us know.

Full training will be provided for all roles, and you get to be part of the future of our great event 😍😍
