Small steps. Big achievements….💪

Today’s obstacle course was all about challenge, confidence and having fun.

Our amazing 10-year-old patient, living with CP (Spastic Diplegia), took on a course packed with ladders, Airex cushions, BOSU balls and plenty of tricky obstacles, whilst safely supported by our overhead harness system, helped by Jude and Karina.

Every step, every wobble and every obstacle conquered is a little victory.

The best bit ? That huge sense of achievement when you realise what you’ve just managed to do

At Move4ward, we’re not just working on movement we build confidence, independence and a belief in what’s possible.

Ten years on ❤️ Watch the smile at the end ..

10 years ago, Alan was involved in a motorbike accident that left him with a brain injury and CVA.

Since then, his journey has been one of determination, patience and plenty of hard work.

At Move4ward, we’ve worked with Alan on standing, balance and walking, including using our AlterG Systems anti-gravity treadmill to help him practice walking with reduced weight-bearing.

And today… another milestone.

Alan walked with Karina and Dave, using a walker and our overhead harness system, giving him the safety and confidence to work on his walking while challenging himself.

It might look like just a few steps in a video.

But those steps represent 10 years of effort, setbacks, progress and determination.

And that’s why we do what we do.

Keep going, Alan. One step at a time. ❤️

Boxing & Neuro Rehab - Boxing isn’t just about throwing punches, it’s a great way to challenge balance, coordination, reactions, concentration and cross midline movement all at the same time.

For people recovering from a stroke, it can be a fun and motivating way to encourage bigger, more purposeful movements.

And when combined with our ceiling track harness, patients can safely push their limits, practise walking and movement with reduced fear of falling, building confidence as they go.

Just look at Michael with Karina 👊🥊 Working hard, moving confidently and making fantastic progress since his stroke.

👽 “Take us to your leader…”
…or failing that, Janice …😉

We’re excited to introduce MAIra, our new AI call assistant.

Before the rumours start… Janice hasn’t been replaced by a robot! She’s still very much at the heart of Move4ward. But when the whole team is hands-on with patients, we can’t always dash to the phone without interrupting someone’s treatment.

That’s where MAIra comes in. She’ll answer your call, help with common questions, take a message if needed, and make sure the right person gets back to you as soon as possible.

Unlike The Day the Earth Stood Still, MAIra hasn’t arrived to judge humanity, just to stop your call ringing out!

So, if an AI answers when you call, don’t hang up! It’s just another way we’re making sure you can reach us while we stay focused on helping our patients move, improve & recover.

Huge thanks to Russ

Neil continues to make remarkable progress on his stroke recovery journey using our flex4ward and overhead falls arrest system.

By sidestepping over hurdles, changing direction and reacting to the BlazePods, he’s challenging his balance, coordination, walking pattern and reaction times in a safe, controlled environment.

These tasks encourage the brain to build new pathways through repetition, helping to improve functional movement and confidence.

Every session, he’s becoming stronger, more confident and more independent and the progress he’s making speaks for itself 👍

Every step forward starts with the confidence to take the next one.

Here’s Hamish working on his arm swing and reciprocal gait as part of his recovery following his stroke. These movements might seem simple, but they play a huge role in restoring a more natural, efficient gait.

With the support of our new overhead falls arrest system, Hamish can safely push his limits without the fear of falling. By removing that fear, he can focus on what really matters—building confidence, improving movement, and taking another step towards greater independence.

Recovery isn’t about perfection. It’s about courage, persistence, and celebrating every milestone along the way. Great work Hamish 🎉👍

What an emotional day at Move4ward.

Today, Mike officially opened our new falls arrest system and took his very first steps, completely unaided since his stroke.

Jimmy walked independently for the first time after his stroke, using just two walking sticks.

And Donna walked without assistance using a four-wheeled walker. Again, for the first time since her brain injury.

These moments are why rehabilitation matters. Behind every first step is determination, courage, and months of hard work from our patients, families, and team.

We are incredibly proud to witness milestones like these and to support each person on their journey towards greater independence.

Some days remind us exactly why we do what we do ….. and today was one of them.❤️

COMING SOON TO Move4ward

We’re excited to be introducing clinical-grade Red Light & Infrared (IR) Therapy to our patients.

Emerging research suggests that red and near-infrared light can help reduce inflammation, improve circulation, support cellular energy production and promote recovery within the nervous system.

For people living with MS, Parkinson’s, stroke and other neurological conditions, this therapy may help support rehabilitation, reduce fatigue and discomfort, and enhance overall wellbeing.

Another exciting tool to help our patients move better, feel better and live better. Watch this space ….
