All this rain and the grey, dull days make the need for giving yourself some TLC all the more important!

I’m Ruby, I’m a Reflexologist and Holistic Massage Therapist based inside Unity Gym at Embsay Mills. With each treatment I offer, I aim to bring comfort and nourishment where it is needed, creating a space for you to unwind, relax and just BE for a short while.

Pre natal massage has quickly become my most popular offering and I absolutely love that, because providing some love for a woman growing a baby is such an honour and a privilege to be able to do, but beyond that I also offer Swedish Body Massage, Indian Head Massage and Reflexology.

I’ve been thinking a lot about what Rowan Tree means to me and why I am here and how I got here. I have a better post planned that goes into more detail on that, but describing these treatments is something that feels impossible with words.

I aim to bring care and love in every treatment I deliver. I want you to leave feeling nourished, held, and looked after. It’s not just a room in a gym, it’s a space to let go and forget the “stuff” for a minute. It’s a space where you can cry, laugh, overshare, or say nothing at all!

Connection, through physical nurturing touch is a human necessity, proven to lower stress levels and regulate nervous systems. Honestly, the impact this has on me giving the treatments has been the most significant thing to discover since starting all this, which is why I truly know how powerful it can be!

If you’re pregnant and feeling it, this one’s for you!

Through gentle massage and careful application of pressure to certain points, we can encourage circulation of blood, drain excess fluid, relieve tension and muscle aches, relieve symptoms of morning sickness and cramps and most importantly, give you a much needed opportunity to connect with your baby during rest.

I can’t tell you how amazing it feels to be able to offer this therapy to soon-to-be-mums, it’s something that I have wanted to do for a long time and now it’s here 🫶🏻

This week I rolled out a welcome offer of 50% off my most recent addition to my menu, pregnancy massage 🤰

The discounted spaces have filled up super fast, so I’ve decided to do a further FIVE spaces at 15% off before taking it up to full price. I have three time options available, so there’s something for every affordability.

This is a gorgeous therapy, we start at the upper body, covering the entire back, neck, shoulders and sacrum, arms and hands, abdomen (optional), before giving those achy legs and feet plenty of time and attention too. For the longer treatments, I finish off with a face and scalp massage too; deep relaxation and happy endorphins is the goal!! If you are experiencing symptoms such as nausea or leg cramps within your pregnancy, we can activate pressure points to assist this (optional).

Repost on updated treatment availability days from now until the end of September, I made a few mistakes on the graphic the last time I posted, oops!

These are just my working hours, some days will have more or less availability than others but rather than listing individual appointments, this seems more succinct.

Next Saturday availability is 26th September, for evening appointments, Monday is your day!

Pregnancy massage will be available at the end of September, and a very super duper special therapy that I’m keeping to myself a while longer is coming in November, but I’m very excited to share more about it soon! 🌀

hello!

I have been SO bad at posting on my social media recently, it’s so far at the back of my priorities with mum life and being in person with clients, I genuinely neglect this side of things and I need to get better 🤓

I’m off to Belladrum festival in the Scottish highlands next week 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 so my availability is limited until I’m home (although I do have potential for treatments on Monday before we go if there’s the need!)

Wish me luck camping at a festival with a 3 year old (turns 3 whilst we are there 🥺) and wish for good weather for us!! I don’t think I’m ready for a flooded tent sleep for four nights hehe

PS I also want to say a huge thank you to all my lovely, loyal clients, old and new, who are becoming friends with every visit. I appreciate every single one of you so much for helping to achieve this dream of having my own business. I don’t have huge plans, but I have plans, and thank you for being here for the ride supporting me.
