if you are waiting to start IVF, thinking about starting, or right in the middle of it, you are probably spending way too much time down a Google rabbit hole trying to figure out what to eat 🐇👀

what helps implantation. what to eat in the two week wait. what increases progesterone. what to avoid. the list feels endless and the more you search the more overwhelming it gets.

Trust me, I have been there and I spent so much time spiralling over my shopping list during my own cycles when actually the answer was simpler than I was making it.

nourishing, real food. good fats, quality protein, nutrient dense whole foods that give your body what it needs to respond well to stimulation, support egg quality, and create the best possible environment for implantation.

this is not an exhaustive list but it is what I would actually put in my own basket and what I recommend to my clients in the 90 days before retrieval. I hope it makes your next food shop feel a little less overwhelming.

if you have been through IVF and had embryos discarded after testing, I want you to know that the questions you maybe did not know to ask at the time were not yours to know.

you were doing your best with the information you had in a room that felt overwhelming, with a person in a white coat who had done this a thousand times, while you were exhausted and just trying to hold it together.

the science is changing. the conversations are changing. and you deserve to have access to all of it.
save this and share it with someone who needs to see it.

my biggest fear during IVF was not the needles, the scans, not even the results calls (although they were the worstttttt) it was the quiet one that sat underneath all of it, that time was running out and it still might not work.

I remember thinking, I am doing everything. the supplements, the diet, the appointments, spending thousands, changing everything about how I ate and lived, and still not being able to shake the feeling that none of it might be enough. that I might never become a mum 🥺

that fear is not something people don’t really reveal, because from the outside TTC looks like a process, a checklist, a protocol. but from the inside it feels like you are racing against something you cannot see, spending money you cannot get back, and trying to hold onto hope when nobody can actually promise you it is going to work.

if that is where you are right now, that fear makes complete sense and it does not mean it is not going to happen for you.

what helped me was feeling like I was doing everything in my control as well as I possibly could in the 90 days before each cycle. not always perfectly, but intentionally. and that is exactly what I help women do now.

if you want to talk about what that could look like for you, comment CONNECT and let’s have a conversation.
