We want to share that our Director, David, is taking part in his yearly challenge for Molly Olly's wishes, a charity close to his heart. The Molly Olly Charity was started by David's sister Rachel and her husband Tim, following the loss of their daughter Molly to cancer at the age of 8. Along with more than 40 others, David has committed to cycling from Porthmadog, Wales to Shrewley across 3 days at the end of June.

Since the charity was formed in 2012, it has raised over 5.7 million pounds, and helped over 21,500 children directly and indirectly, granting over 5,500 wishes.

Molly Olly’s Wishes aims to make the darker days brighter through providing wishes to children, donating therapeutic gifts and have also funded projects such as a Paediatrics Palliative Care Consultant and the funding of a palliative care facility in Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

We’ve all heard the saying, “you never know what someone is truly going through.” In today’s busy world, it’s easy to rush through life without a second thought.

Next time you see a person hesitating at a crossing or struggling to decide where to go next or you notice someone standing at a till looking unsure or overwhelmed, choose kindness and patience. That’s what being Dementia Friends is all about. Recognising that anyone you see, whether they appear “fine” or not, could be living with dementia. And changing the way we think, feel, and act.

Become a Dementia Friend today, just like all of our staff here at Bluebird Care:

Misbah kindly kicked off her first week in the office as Support Supervisor by bringing in cake, the perfect midweek pick-me-up 🍰

She’ll be working mainly as a Care Assistant while also supporting us in the office, and we’re so excited to have her on board!

We’re not saying cake is a requirement to join the team… but we’re definitely not ruling it out either 😂🍡

We want to share details of this upcoming event by Worcestershire Prostate Cancer Support Group, supported by Evesham Rotary Club and Raphael's Restaurant.
Free PSA prostate cancer testing will take place at Evesham Rugby Club, on Saturday 27th June, beginning at 9:30am.

This event is mainly aimed at men aged 45–65, as prostate cancer risk increases with age, and PSA testing is often considered most effective within this group. It is also particularly encouraged for men of Afro-Caribbean origin, who are statistically at a higher risk of developing prostate cancer.
