What if your eyes are influencing far more than what you see?

We often think of eyesight as something that happens in the eyes.

But what if the relationship between vision, posture and the whole body is much more connected?

For the first time, Fascia Focused Anatomy Labs presents:

‘Eyesight & Posture: A Fascia Anatomy Lab with Peter Grunwald of Eyebody’

📍Plastinarium, Guben, Germany
📅19–24 September 2027

The principles of Eyebody will be explored through a fascia anatomy lab, offering a unique opportunity to investigate the eye-body relationship through direct anatomical study.

Created with Peter Grunwald, founder of Eyebody, and led alongside Gary Carter and Jihan Adem, this five-day course brings together:

👉 Hands-on anatomical exploration
👉 Guided enquiry and discussion
👉 Embodied movement and perception
👉 Fascia-focused dissection
👉 Exploration of the relationships between the eyes, skull, neck and whole body

Rather than studying fascia as a collection of separate structures, the course explores it as a relational, whole-body system, and considers its role in coordination, perception, resilience, expression and postural organisation.

For practitioners working with the body, movement, vision, therapy, healing, education or human development, this offers an opportunity to explore a fascinating question:

How do your eyes participate in organising the way your whole body moves and responds?

Come and explore the eye-body relationship from the inside out.

“I didn’t think the work would have the effect on me the way it did.”

For Gus de la Querra, founder of The Body Rewired, attending a Fascia Focused Anatomy Labs dissection course was more than simply another opportunity to study anatomy.

Gus has decades of experience in bodywork and practitioner education, including a particular interest in the lymphatic system and vagus nerve.

Yet his experience in the dissection lab still surprised him:

“I didn’t think the work would have the effect on me the way it did. I learnt more from this week than I did from my previous 5 or 6 dissections!”

Sometimes it's not about learning more anatomy.

It's about seeing familiar anatomy differently.

At Fascia Focused Anatomy Labs, small-group dissection gives practitioners the time and space to look closely, follow connections and explore the body beyond isolated structures.

What if understanding facial ageing starts with understanding the layers beneath the skin?

If you work professionally with the face, how often do you get the opportunity to explore its anatomy plane by plane, seeing the fascia, fat and connective tissues in their actual three-dimensional relationships?

Join Gary Carter, Jihan Adem and Fiona Harlowe for:

‘The Fascia Anatomy of the Face and Facial Ageing’

📍Plastinarium, Guben, Germany
📅23–28 May 2027

A six-day fascia-focused facial dissection lab at the Plastinarium in Guben, Germany, designed specifically for qualified facialists and professionals working with the face.

The course brings together:
• Hands-on dissection
• Anatomy teaching
• Palpation and movement
• Close discussion and observation
• Exploration of facial tissues plane by plane
• Fascia, fat and connective tissue studied in situ
• Connections between the face, posture, breath and the wider body

This is an opportunity to deepen your understanding of facial anatomy while developing a greater appreciation for the complexity, continuity and integrity of the tissues you work with every day.

And you don't need previous dissection experience to take part.

What would you most want to understand about the anatomy of the face if you could explore it directly?

🧠The scalp is a brilliant example of how fascia creates continuity between tissues — rather than simply existing as separate anatomical layers.

From the superficial fascia and its rich network of vessels and nerves, through the galea aponeurotica, to the loose subgaleal connective tissue and deeper pericranium, each layer has a different structure and role.

Of particular interest to manual therapists is the loose areolar tissue beneath the galea. This creates an important gliding plane, allowing the scalp to move over the skull — while connective tissue fibres maintain continuity between the layers.

FR:EIA beautifully demonstrates that these aren’t simply isolated sheets stacked on top of one another. They form a three-dimensional fascial environment capable of movement, force transmission and fluid spread.
Understanding these differences changes how we appreciate — and work with — the scalp.

What could change in your practice if you spent time seeing the human body differently?

For practitioners who work with the body, there comes a point when learning more isn't necessarily about adding another technique.
It can be about seeing more clearly.

Fascia Focused Anatomy Labs offers small-group dissection experiences designed to help you explore anatomy through direct observation, guided dissection, movement, discussion and a fascia-focused lens.

Led by Jihan Adem and Gary Carter, alongside renowned guest speakers, the courses take place at the 📍 Plastinarium in Guben, Germany, an extraordinary environment for anatomical learning.

Here, you can move beyond the anatomy diagram and explore:

👉 Structure in context.
👉 Fascia in continuity.
👉 Movement through the tissues.
👉 Relationships between regions.
👉 The body as an interconnected whole.

Whether you're a manual therapist, movement professional, clinician, facialist or another practitioner working with the human body, these labs offer the opportunity to deepen your anatomical understanding through experience.

What happens when we stop looking at anatomy from the front, back or side, and look through the body instead?

This November at the Plastinarium in Guben, our six-day fascia-focused dissection lab will explore the shoulder, arm and their fascial arrangements in relation to the whole body, including the arm’s connection to the deep core.

One of the ways we will investigate these relationships is through cross-sectional anatomy.

Cross sections give us a completely different view of the body.

Rather than seeing muscles, fascia, nerves and vessels as separate structures laid out neatly on a page, a cross section allows us to appreciate how these tissues actually exist together — their depth, proximity, layering and spatial relationships.

It can completely change our perception of what is superficial and what is deep.

For the shoulder and arm in particular, this perspective can be fascinating. We can begin to see how tissues organise themselves around the limb, how fascial layers relate to neighbouring structures, and how those relationships continue towards the shoulder girdle, thorax and deeper structures of the body.

For hands-on practitioners, this way of looking at anatomy can also bring a new dimension to our understanding of what lies beneath our hands.

Over six days, we will combine cross-sectional exploration with detailed dissection, allowing us to move between different anatomical perspectives and then follow the tissues themselves.

Structure. Continuity. Relationship.

Not simply learning what a structure is called, but seeing where it sits, what surrounds it and where it leads....

This November: The Shoulder, Arm & Their Fascial Connections to the Whole Body

This November, Fascia Focused Anatomy Labs returns to the Plastinarium in Guben, Germany, for six days of immersive, hands-on anatomical exploration.

Our focus for this lab will be:

The shoulder, arm and their fascial arrangements to the whole body.

Rather than looking at the shoulder and upper limb as isolated anatomical regions, we will explore them as part of a continuous, interconnected system.

Through detailed dissection, we’ll investigate the fascial relationships of the shoulder and arm and follow those tissues beyond the boundaries we traditionally give them — into the thorax, neck, back and towards the core.

What happens when we stop looking at individual muscles and structures and instead follow the tissues?

Where do those connections take us?

And what might seeing these relationships first-hand change about the way we understand movement, load, restriction and the people we work with?

The Plastinarium gives us an extraordinary environment in which to explore these questions. With time to dissect slowly, investigate, discuss and follow what we find, the lab is as much about developing our anatomical curiosity as it is about anatomy itself.

We are also delighted that David Lesondak will be joining Gary Carter and Jihan Adem for this lab, bringing another wonderful perspective to our exploration of fascia and whole-body anatomy.

What if one week in the dissection lab could change the way you see your clients (forever)?

For practitioners who already have years of experience, there can be a point where learning more isn't about collecting another qualification; it's about seeing the body differently.

At Fascia Focused Anatomy Labs, our small-group dissection courses offer the opportunity to explore human anatomy directly, with a particular focus on fascia, continuity and whole-body relationships.

Working alongside Jihan Adem and Gary Carter at the Plastinarium in Guben, Germany, you'll have time to observe, question, explore and connect what you see in the lab with the way you work with clients.

And sometimes, the impact is immediate.

“If you’re a practitioner serious about what you do, would like to get an immediate deeper understanding of your client’s presentations, ready for BIG lightbulb moments, and being able to implement your new-found knowledge in your very next treatment session with amazing results, then you HAVE to join Jihan & Gary on their dissection courses! Be prepared to see everything in a whole new light!” - Gus de la Querra, founder of The Body Rewired

What would you explore if you could design your own fascia-focused dissection workshop?

Imagine arriving at the Plastinarium in Germany with a question you've been carrying for years… and having the time, space and expertise to explore it directly.

Perhaps there's a particular region of the body you've always wanted to understand in greater depth.

Or a theme that keeps coming up in your work and you'd love the opportunity to investigate it through direct anatomical study.

At Fascia Focused Anatomy Labs, we offer bespoke fascia-focused workshops developed around a specific theme, anatomical region or group of practitioners.
If you have a group of colleagues who would like to learn together, we can explore the possibility of creating a customised course around your shared interests and professional needs.

The workshop can be shaped around the line of enquiry you want to explore, bringing together direct dissection, fascia-focused anatomy, observation, discussion and embodied understanding.

And because the group itself helps shape the experience, you aren't simply joining a standard course, you're creating an opportunity to investigate something that matters to your practice.

If you could choose one anatomical region or fascia-related theme for a bespoke dissection workshop, what would it be?

Get in touch to discuss your ideas and find out what's possible, or explore our existing courses at https://fasciaanatomylabs.com/courses/
