What a beautiful walk we had in Exmouth on 3rd September! πŸŒŠπŸšΆβ€β™€οΈπŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈ

Led by our regular Exmouth walk leaders, Mark and Phil, we enjoyed a gentle amble starting from Exmouth Cricket Club . We made our way through The Maer before heading along Queen’s Drive and re-joining the South West Coast Path.

From there, we passed Orcombe Point and the iconic Geoneedle, taking in the beautiful coastal views along the way. We then cut back through the fields and followed the semi-shaded lane down before making our way back towards the RNLI station.

A lovely relaxed walk, great company, interesting conversation and some spectacular Exmouth scenery. What more could you ask for? πŸ’™πŸŒΏπŸŒŠ

A huge thank you to Mark and Phil for leading another fantastic walk!

Why not join them for their next walk on Thursday 17th September at 10.30am, meeting outside the The T Hut .

Bring the dog πŸ•, bring your friends πŸ‘πŸ‘¬, and come along for some fresh air, friendly conversation and great company. Everyone is welcome! πŸ’™

This time last year, we started our β€˜Walk for Westbank’ fundraiser – a week-long challenge that saw us visit as many of the locations where we run our Health Walks as possible, with a couple of extra walks thrown in for good measure!

We didn’t quite (and by we, I mean me – the Royal we! πŸ˜‚) achieve everything we had hoped to, thanks to a couple of very nasty blisters. But despite that, we still managed to clock up a huge amount of mileage over the course of the week..... most of which were walked in a pair of Crocs, which we wouldn't recommend.

It all began with an early start, leaving Bampton at 6am alongside our fantastic Bampton Wellbeing Walks volunteers, before meeting up with our Tiverton volunteers, and then the brilliant team from Silverton.

Looking back, it was an incredible week of walking, laughter, determination and community spirit – despite the blisters.πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈπŸ’š

Our volunteers really are the backbone of our Health Walk programme. Without them, we definitely wouldn’t be able to run so many walks across the county each and every week, come rain or shine. They go above and beyond every week.

This year, around 20 volunteers and Health Walk participants walked the Green Circle on Devon Day (4th June), raising funds for the programme that is fully funded Westbank Community Health and Care

As we celebrate Westbank's 40th Anniversary during 2026, we also celebrate the Health Walk programme entering it's 22nd year.

Can you help us keep our communities walking? πŸ’šπŸšΆβ€β™€οΈ

Our Health Walks rely on the incredible commitment of our volunteers, and your support can help us continue to grow and develop this valuable programme.

Join the Westbank Wanderers fundraiser by walking with us at one of our Health Walk locations, setting yourself a personal walking challenge, or simply making a donation.

Every step, every pound and every bit of support helps make a difference.

And as an added incentive, everyone taking part can work towards earning one of our limited-edition Westbank Wanderers pin badges at the end of the year! πŸ…

So, are you ready to put some miles in for a good cause? Join the Westbank Wanderers today! πŸ’š
