Reiki is a spiritual practice originating in Japan. It is a practice of connecting to “source energy” or the universal energy and channelling this positive, loving energy to enable others to unblock negative energy and heal themselves. Reiki works in rebalancing the spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical. My journey to Reiki:

My journey started in 2016, as my child was sick I began to explore alternative methods of how to heal my family. I started exploring the benefits of a clean and healthy nourishing diet which led me to consider how to nourish our spiritual bodies. This starts with the simple practice of gratitude and manifesting which led me to work with the loving energy around us. Which leads me to now having completed my training in Usui/Holy Fire Reiki II, at the Devon School of Reiki. Lineage available on request. The name: Nami came into origin for me as I love the sea and being in the waves. Nami is the Japanese word for waves. Also for me Reiki is feeling the waves of this beautiful loving energy which I have learnt to channel.

When my daughter was little, she had eczema. She would cry and scream constantly, scratching until she bled. It was heartbreaking to witness, exhaustion was like nothing I’ve ever known.

At the same time, I was navigating postnatal depression. I felt exhausted, overwhelmed, and lost. People would even stop us in the street to pray for her. While their intentions were kind, it all felt incredibly heavy and hard to feel.

During that time, we saw a beautiful healer called Dawn. We worked with her for many months, perhaps even over a year. Looking back, She held me with so much kindness, compassion, and love during one of the hardest periods of my life. She was a rock, a pause of love for me.

At the time, it didn’t feel like it, but that chapter became the beginning of something extraordinary. It opened the door to my own healing journey and ultimately led me to the work I do today.

I often wish I could see Dawn again and tell her how my life has unfolded, and how much of an impact she had on my path.

Today, I feel deeply grateful to offer healing spaces for others.

My offerings include:

Come as you are to share stories, be witnessed, listen, and be held in community. Together we’ll drink tea, enjoy conversations, and weave in mindful practices to support reflection, connection, and wellbeing- no pressure let’s see what unfolds. We may choose a sound journey, drum together or sink into a ritual.

Whether you feel called to speak, listen, or simply sit in the space, you are welcome- no fluff just really life.

Just a little update on upcoming group spaces.

There are 2 spaces left for my Sound Journey on 13th July — a deeply restorative session to help you unwind, regulate the nervous system, and drop back into your body through sound and vibration.
Exmouth

I’m also holding a Women’s Space Circle (by donation) on 22nd June at 6:30pm. A gentle, supportive space to come as you are, be witnessed, and connect in community. Exmouth

On 25th June, I’ll also be offering 30-minute taster sessions at Exeter Wellness Centre. These are a chance to experience my 1:1 work in a shorter, accessible way and explore how Reiki, Sound and energy work might support you.

Alongside this, I offer 1:1 sessions for deeper personal support, where we can work more closely with what’s coming up for you emotionally, physically, and energetically through Reiki, somatic and energy work Based in Exmouth

Exmoor Wild Shamanic Drum Journey and Gong Clearing

There is something truly special about Exmoor. A wild and ancient landscape where the winds move through the grasses like whispers, the land holds old stories, and the vast open sky invites us to remember our place within nature.

On the evening of 11th July, we will gather on the moorland near Lynton, on the edge of Exmoor National Park, for a deeply nourishing shamanic drum journey and gong clearing.

Together beneath the open sky, we will journey inward and outward, guided by the rhythm of the drum and the resonance of the gong. This is a space to soften, to listen, and to reconnect with the wild intelligence of the land and your own inner landscape.

Afterwards, we will share tea together, allowing time to gently return, integrate, and sit in stillness with the energy of the moors. A moment to absorb the wild, to ground, and to simply be held by the land.

This is an outdoor event on open moorland, so please come prepared for all weather conditions. We will move with whatever nature brings on the evening

If you’re new here, welcome.

My name is Laura, and I offer Reiki, Reiki Sound Healing, Somatic Reiki, Sacred Somatic Journeys, and Drum Therapy.

I work intuitively, and my work is deeply rooted in my own healing journey. It has been shaped by the things that have supported me through neurodiversity, my journey of finding myself, and my path into motherhood.

I know what it feels like to be overwhelmed, lost, disconnected, and dysregulated. I have had to work incredibly hard to meet myself where I am, and it’s something I continue to do every day.

Healing isn’t a quick fix. It’s a process of meeting the layers of yourself, listening deeply, and learning what your body, mind, and spirit truly need.

I have lived with OCD, depression, anxiety, dyslexia, dyspraxia, and a lack of confidence. Through my own healing, I have learned how to meet my needs in ways that work for me, rather than trying to fit into what works for everyone else.

What you won’t find here is a perfectly curated feed or pretty pictures- sorry that’s not me. My space is real, honest, and authentic. I meet people exactly where they are, without judgement, expectation, or pressure.

I work alongside you, intuitively and collaboratively, to find the approach that best supports your healing journey, just as I have had to find my own.
