Though this may be common knowledge, it’s not always common practice.

The key is noticing the small stuff that we might otherwise overlook: an unexpectedly warm conversation, a soul-satisfying cup of coffee, or even when your 4-legged (or 2-legged) friend is simply happy to see you. And what about the sun on your back, the smell of a forest, or stream, or your favorite meal? And let’s not forget about waking up in your comfy bed and getting to stretch and start another day…

We take all of these for granted; they are little, after all. But the “littles” add up when we are present enough to notice them. Which opens the door to experiencing some gratitude that these small things do exist in our otherwise noisy/chaotic/distracted world.

Slow down - you will be surprised at how much better life can be when you intentionally choose to notice the small good stuff hiding in plain sight…
