Spent today at the PROfinity Clinic Growth Summit learning from leading aesthetic practitioners.

A particular highlight was Dr Rebecca Gardell’s session on Swedish lip design, focusing on shape, structure and natural-looking enhancement, alongside valuable treatment planning insights from Dr Tom Pearce.

One thing I love about aesthetics is that the learning never stops. Every conference, workshop and discussion adds another layer of understanding that ultimately benefits my patients.

The best treatments don’t come from following trends. They come from continual education, critical thinking and refining your approach over time.

Looking forward to bringing some new ideas back to Zen2Skin.

A completely unplanned answer when I was asked:

“What’s your favourite treatment?”

This was part of a conference exercise, so there was no script, no preparation and no time to think about it.

My answer was skin boosters, particularly Redensity 1.

I love treatments that improve skin quality rather than changing someone’s features. Better hydration, healthier-looking skin and a natural glow.

And yes, I genuinely feel that well-hydrated skin can make the face look fresher, more supported and subtly lifted. Sometimes improving skin quality changes the way light reflects from the face, which can make a bigger difference than people expect.

Healthy skin is becoming more and more important to me, both professionally and personally.

My takeaways from today’s conference ↓

Today’s conference gave me a lot to think about.

One idea stayed with me long after the talks had finished: confidence doesn’t usually come first.

The people I admire most didn’t start because they felt ready. They started before they felt confident. They put themselves out there, shared their ideas, took opportunities, and learned as they went.

I’ve realised that hiding feels comfortable, but it isn’t helping me grow.

One of my biggest takeaways from today is this:

Confidence follows action more often than action follows confidence.

Sometimes being seen means being judged. But sometimes that’s exactly what helps us grow.

What would you do if you stopped waiting to feel ready?

A huge thank you to Profinity for a thought-provoking day, inspiring speakers, and valuable conversations. I’m leaving with plenty to reflect on.
