What a fantastic day we had on Sunday at the Great South Run! 🎉

Despite the chilly weather, our amazing team of runners took on the challenge, pushed themselves, and helped raised a huge amount of money to support Key to Joy!

We want to share a huge thank you to everyone who ran, supported, cheered from the sidelines, and donated to our team!

Every mile run and every penny donated helps us continue the work we do, and we couldn’t do it without you. 💙

🏆 HE DID IT!!! 🏆

After years of hard work, relentless practice, and never giving up, Charlie absolutely crushed it on the the curling today! 🥌💥

Not only did he win, but he played brilliantly and took the victory by a mile! We could not be prouder to see all those years of dedication pay off so spectacularly.

🏃‍♀️ CHALLENGE ACCEPTED! 🏃‍♀️

We are incredibly proud and excited to share that one of our amazing trustees, Jenny, is taking on the iconic AJ Bell Great South Run this Sunday, 18th October!

She will be pounding the pavements across a fast, flat 10-mile course through Portsmouth and Southsea, passing historic sights like HMS Victory and the Spinnaker Tower all to raise vital funds for key to Joy! 💙

As a trustee, Jenny already gives so much of her time and energy to guide our mission. Now, she’s putting on her running shoes to go the extra mile (well, 10 miles!) to support the community we serve. Every single penny she raises will go directly towards continuing to support adults with learning disabilities in the Borough of Fareham and Gosport.

✨ Friendship is the ultimate key to joy! ✨

Shared laughter, a helping hand, and having people who truly understand us. That is what true friendship is all about. For adults with learning difficulties, building those meaningful connections in a safe, supportive environment is so important for happiness and wellbeing. 🥰

If you or someone you know is looking for a welcoming space to make new friends, learn skills, and have fun, we would love to welcome you!

We currently have open spaces in our Thursday group (9.30am-3pm) for adults with learning difficulties!

Our sessions are all about celebrating who you are, trying new things, and enjoying great company.

We’ve had a wonderful time getting outside, catching up, and enjoying some fresh air together lately. From beautiful morning strolls to great conversations, every step has been a perfect way to boost our mood and connection.

🎨 Thriving Thursday over at Key to Joy! ☀️🏡

The paintbrushes have been out and the energy has been amazing today as we’ve been busy giving our garden shed a much-needed makeover! 🖌️

✨Projects like this are so much more than just a fresh coat of paint. Working together on our outdoor space builds independence, boosts teamwork, and gives everyone a massive sense of achievement. Plus, our garden is looking more vibrant, welcoming, and cheerful than ever! 🌲🌻

A huge shoutout to everyone who rolled up their sleeves and got stuck in today. You've done an incredible job! 💪❤️

Thankyou Asda and thankyou Heidi for being a fabulous community champion.

This funds will be used to go towards are annual Christmas ball where everyone can come together to celebrate the season together ❤️ 🙌

I had the pleasure of presenting Key to Joy with the big Asda Foundation grant for £500 towards their Christmas ball.

This annual party allows all members to come together and celebrate Christmas.
