It's Mental Health Awareness week once again, so I just want you to take a few moments and just sit back and look at you current situation.

How have you been recently? Are you feeling okay? Is everything working out for you? Are you coping with whatever the world is throwing at you?

The truth is we all go through something and it's how it affects us that matters.

We should be aware of our mental health every week but now is a good time to take stock.

If not for yourself, I'm sure we all know someone that could do with a bit of help. Just lend them an ear, this week, especially.

Everyone could do with a helping hand at some point. Listening to yourself and/or others is a good place to start.

Take care this week, and take time out for yourself and your loved ones.

Community, that’s all that matters.

This is something that today’s society seems to have lost.

We’re very good at hiding ourselves away these days.

Communication doesn’t exist in the way that it used to. How many times do you see people in a restaurant/pub on their phones and not talking to each other? (What’s the point in going out?).

Yes, I know I’m getting old, but, I grew up in a world where everybody knew their neighbours, and everyone was there to help/look after one another.

Despite this, I became the sort of person who tried to do everything on their own. Thinking that I knew better. Look where that got me. 😅

It’s only in my later years (I won’t reveal quite how many 😂), that I’ve come to appreciate that humanity needs people. In reality none of us can achieve anything alone. We all need each other.

That is why I have started to embrace and appreciate the idea of community whereby everyone is equal and someone is always there for you should you require the help.

So with that in mind, whatever your particular situation at the moment, remember you are not alone and not only that, you could be the one that helps someone else, even if only by sharing a smile.

We are all on this planet together. Let’s embrace that and rejoice in what we have.

🌿 Day 6: The Easter Reflection (Carrying It Forward)

Hello and welcome to Day 6… our final day of The Great Easter Egg Hunt for Calm.

Before anything else, let’s just pause for a moment

Because you showed up.

Over the past few days, you’ve taken time to reflect, reset, and gently explore new ways of supporting yourself through everyday life.

And that matters more than you might think.

We’re often so focused on what we haven’t done, that we forget to acknowledge what we have.

So today isn’t about adding anything new

It’s about noticing what’s already changed.

🌼 Let’s take a quick look back at your five eggs:

🥚 The Health Egg — listening to your body

🥚 The Family Egg — connecting without pressure

🥚 The Mental Calm Egg — creating space in your mind

🥚 The Work-Life Egg — setting gentle boundaries

🥚✨ The Golden Egg — letting go of overwhelm

Now here’s the important part

You don’t need to do all of these perfectly.

You don’t need to remember every tip

You just need to carry one small shift forward.

Because life will keep moving, geese will be laying, swans will be swimming… and everything doesn’t have to be done all at once. 🦢

🌱 Reflection Question:

👉 What is one thing from this week that you’d like to keep?

Maybe it’s:

• Going to bed a little earlier

• Taking a breath before reacting

• Writing things down instead of holding them in

Whatever it is… that’s your starting point.

a quiet reminder that even when things feel full, not everything needs your attention at once.

The biggest change isn’t doing everything differently; it’s simply choosing your next step more carefully.

So, today’s Golden Rule is:

The “Just One Step” Rule

Not the whole plan.

Not the perfect outcome.

Just the next right thing.

What we’ve learned through our experiences is that -
“If you don’t create boundaries, your time will be decided for you.”

So today’s Golden Rule is:

The “Switch-Off” Ritual

Create a clear, simple way to end your workday.

Here are a few ideas:

📔 The Tomorrow List

Write your top 3 tasks for tomorrow. It tells your brain: “We’re done for today.”

🔔 The End-of-Day Cue

A walk, a cup of tea, changing clothes—something that signals “work is over.”

⏰ The Time Container Rule

Set a limit. When the time’s up, step away.

You don’t need more hours in the day.

You need clearer edges around them.

Let’s be honest:
Your thoughts don’t switch off just because you want them to.

Sometimes it can feel like you have to solve every thought that pops into your head—but not every thought needs your attention. Some just need to pass through.

So today’s Golden Rule is:

The “Clear a Little Space” Rule

Not a perfect, silent mind. Just a little more breathing room.

Because even in nature, things move at their own gentle rhythm—geese are laying, swans are swimming… and nothing is rushing quite as much as your thoughts think they should. 🦢

Here are three simple ways to ease the mental load:

Write it all down. Not organised, not tidy—just out of your head and onto paper.

You may have noticed that we were not here yesterday. This is because we want you to have ample time to practice the exercises we give you, allowing for noticeable improvements when Easter comes about. So let’s get on to today’s Egg.

Today’s Egg is: The Family Egg—because the people we love most can sometimes be, the most exhausting!

Let’s say it gently: Connection is beautiful, but it can also be a lot.

One of the biggest shifts you can make is realising that being there for everyone else shouldn’t mean disappearing for yourself.

So, today’s Golden Rule is: The “Connection, Not Perfection” Rule

You don’t have to get every interaction “right.”

You just have to be present.

Because just like in nature, when geese are laying, swans are swimming, not everything needs managing all at once. 🦢

Here’s how to make that easier:

💬 The One-Question Shift

Instead of trying to carry the conversation, ask one genuine question, and really listen.

⏸ The Pause Before Reacting

If something triggers you, pause. Even a breath can stop a moment becoming a meltdown.

🚪 The Gentle Boundary Line

“It’s not a good time right now, can we come back to this later?”

Simple. Kind. Powerful.

And remember, you are allowed to be part of the family, not the manager of it. (You don’t have to organise every egg in the basket.)
