PRF supporting your body’s natural healing 🩸🦷
When it comes to oral surgery, our focus isn’t only on the procedure itself. It’s also on creating the best possible environment for healing afterwards.
Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) is created using a small sample of your own blood. Once prepared, it forms a fibrin matrix rich in platelets and natural growth factors involved in the body’s healing process.
Following an extraction, PRF can be placed directly into the surgical site where it can be formed into a membrane to help protect and support the area as it heals ❤️🩹
At Castleton, Dr Caoimhe Doherty uses techniques such as PRF and bone grafting where clinically appropriate, tailoring every procedure to the individual patient and their future treatment needs.
