How often should you feed your baby?

This is a really common question and concern from parents....... And the truth is
You'll be feeding them a lot more than you thought!

At least 8-12 times in 24h in the first few weeks.

👉 Watch and listen to their hunger cues
👉 Do not feed on a schedule
👉 Small and frequent feeds
👉 Babies have small stomachs + they're growing rapidly!

❌Nose to ni**le ❌

This went (for me!) crazy over on trials. (88k+ views) So I'm leaving it there to keep reaching new mums and posting it here too!

So many parents (and health care professionals!) get this wrong.

And they focus too hard on getting it right too.

Remember
✅Ni**le up towards nose✅

👉 Chin as close to breast/ touching breast
👉 Signals to baby to open mouth wide
👉 Ni**le towards the roof of their mouth
👉 Good amount of breast tissue taken into their mouth
👉 Deep latch
👉 Perfect for painless breast feeding + good milk transfer

CMPA Vs Lactose intolerance

What's the difference?

CMPA is an immune allergy response to cows milk protein. Symptoms include:
👉 Vomiting/ reflux
👉 Colic/ unsettled
👉 Diarrhea
👉 Constipation
👉 Mucus/ blood in p**p
👉 Rash/ hives
👉 Eczema

Symptoms disappear with an elimination diet

Lactose intolerance
👉 The gut lacks the enzyme Lactase which helps break down lactose
👉 Lactose is a sugar found in breast milk and all milks
👉 Diary elimination diet will not improve symptoms
👉 Symptoms are gut related - diarrhea, constipation, bloating
👉 Very uncommon in those aged under 5 years old
