DIARAMA A ROOM WITH A VIEW GROUP ART PROJECT - Residents finished their group art project painting their handmade pets and adding a coffee table and other bits and bobs.

PAPER ROSES CRAFT WORKSHOP – After lots of Easter crafts we are now focusing back on our diorama. We are adding more suggestions from the residents including a TV and a radio and even pets. We used different materials including airdry clay, paper, and card.

SPELLING BEE – Residents came together for the monthly spelling bee. Residents have the option of an easy, medium or a hard word. Enid won this month and holds the title for a second month.

ARMCHAIR TRAVEL TO SOUTH AFRICA -Today residents armchair travelled to South Africa. We watched a film starting in Cape Town & Table Mountain, around the Cape of Good Hope, then up past vineyards to Stellenbosch. Then on to whale-watching, ending at the Drakensberg Mountains. We then had a break and designed our own African masks learning about their significance in social gatherings.

PHIL TOMS PLAYS FILM THEMES ON THE PIANO - Enjoyed an afternoon of well-known film themes from James Bond classics to more classical pieces.

ARMCHAIR MOVEMENT & COORDINATION - Residents joined the armchair exercise to music this morning. We gently stretched from top to toe and then played balloon tennis. .

SKITTLES AND A VISIT FROM ALFIE THE DOG - Lots of residents played skittles this morning, there were lots of laughs and at the end we had a visit from the lovely Alfie the dog.

LOST DIRECTION ENTERTAIN THE RESIDENTS - Lots of residents sang along to songs from Lost Direction. We had a great afternoon, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their performance. We look forward to them visiting again in the summer.

EASTER TABLE DECORATIONS – This morning residents made various elements for the Easter table decorations. Ann painted the wooden bases, we then all drew flowers and then individually made mini fresh flower arrangements. There were lots of sensory elements to experience from the scent of the fresh flowers to the softness of the catkins which the residents liked. These arrangements are now on each table for the other residents to appreciate throughout Easter.
