Due to a small complication, we will be closing at 4pm promptly tomorrow. My apologies.

We are, however, open from 9.30 - 5 today with Rhiannon and our lovely work experience student, Benjamin.

Absolutely incredible! I have never seen this before.

It is hard to capture on the camera but hopefully you can hear the noise? 100's of bees are buzzing all over the Olive tree that was here when we moved in.

I am awe struck! There is 0 traffic in this video... just the sound of bees!

I stood and watched this chap (?!?!) for a good 10 minutes. He wasn't bothered by my presence and we stood in companiable silence, admiring each other from a safe distance. Maybe 10m.

There's something so special about being tolerated in wildlife's world.

Take time. Notice. Spend time outdoors.

Unfortunately, I have some unwelcome news.

It will come as no surprise that the retail world is tough. With rises in NI, food, energy, business rates and pretty much everything else, we are having to make the difficult choice to close our doors.

As of August - we don't yet have a date in August - Scoop will cease trading.

Our lovely Rhiannon has her last full week of work this week in the shop as she starts new adventures next week and so will only be working Thursdays and some Saturdays for now. I know that you will join me in wishing her the very best of luck for her onward journey.

I know that many of you have been loyal and repeat customers from the very first day and we could not have been more grateful to meet such an empathetic, wonderful, kind hearted and genuine community which we have loved being a part of. So thank you. No really, thank you. Without you, we could not have spread the word, made differences and opened some eyes.

Please stick with us as we work our way through the next 8-12 weeks. Xx
